Michael commented on the post, Rear floor changes "proved trickier than we expected" – Budkowski 2 years, 2 months ago
From what I understand as an armchair critic, DtS is only allowed to show whatever each of the teams allows them. We certainly can’t have a Williams episode full of clips of races, radio and Jennie Gow and Will […]

That is a silly excuse for not penalizing them, as they don’t need information from indycar to count to lap 35…

Michael commented on the post, The drivers are right: F1's helmet restrictions are silly 3 years, 6 months ago
I’m pretty sure Ricciardo has used two substantially different helmets, the Jack Brabham one at China and the Longhorns one, in addition to his normal blue and pink one. I don’t even get how the current rule […]

Michael commented on the post, 2019 Belgian Grand Prix interactive data: lap charts, times and tyres 3 years, 9 months ago
Why oh why did Renault leave Ricciardo out for 42 laps! If they had of brought him in when he got passed by Perez, he’d have been able to come back through the field following Albon and probably score 7th. Makes no sense…

Michael commented on the post, 2019 British Grand Prix interactive data: lap charts, times and tyres 3 years, 10 months ago
If you compare the Renault pace with Gasly, they are actually quite similar. Presumably Ricciardo was faster than Sainz as he was able to stay right with him half the race. Therefore could you say that Renault are […]

Riccardo made up almost 40 seconds on Grosjean after Romain pitted. How did that happen?

It’s not an F1 designed wheel, you can bet the wheel supplier won’t have that thing sticking out of the F1 wheel!

Michael commented on the post, Sooner, later or never: When should Formula 1 go fully electric? 4 years, 1 month ago
Technology in its infancy currently proposes powering electric buses and light rail using fast charging and super capacitors. I can see this as a way of extending the range with a return of “refuelling” pitstops. […]

Michael commented on the post, Sooner, later or never: When should Formula 1 go fully electric? 4 years, 1 month ago
I also agree with this. Open the regs to allow for more electric power and let the teams figure out how to be fast.

Michael commented on the post, 2018 mid-season F1 driver rankings part 2: 12-6 4 years, 9 months ago
@frood19 what I’m saying is that we can’t know, and so car performance plays it out. F1metrics is great, but has a Hulkenberg problem. Look at the revision to his 2014 ranking in one of F1metrics articles, where […]

Michael commented on the post, 2018 mid-season F1 driver rankings part 2: 12-6 4 years, 9 months ago
My 2 cents, I think that these lists largely get ordered by car performance with a few exceptions. For example, Hulk is 10th, when he’s been best of the midfield more often than not despite poor reliablity, seems […]

Has anyone heard what Whisper films will do when the channel 4 coverage ends? I’d love to watch those guys on F1TV Pro. Then the “world feed” won’t be Sky and could be a bespoke product worth the pro moniker.

TSN in Canada copy paste the sky feed and cut to commercial every 15 minutes on the dot. Watching C4 post race on YouTube lets me know what I’m missing!

Michael commented on the post, Ricciardo's fastest lap shows Red Bull's true pace – Horner 5 years, 2 months ago
Difference between the Monza lap you mention and this one is Ricciardo was on normal old soft tyres which had been following Kimi for a number of laps.
I’m hopeful for a competitive race year.
