Chris Lawson replied to the topic Should F2 and F3 drivers get to pick career numbers? in the forum

I had the same thought and contacted F2 directly. I did get a response and they have considered this but are unable to do it.
The only reason they cant is that in Monaco qualifying, they split the cars into 2 sessions. They run even numbers in 1 and odd numbers in the other. The system is quite inflexible so wouldn’t allow any other way of d…[Read more]

Nice one Lewis – endearing himself to other drivers and to neutral fans as always!
The point he is missing is that a circuit can be a challenge without being outright dangerous!
Gravel traps / grass next […]

1) Lewis doesn’t get to choose his race engineer – the team do
2) we hear about 5% of the actual communication betweern them so not exactly a compelling case to fire him
3) When everything goes perfect and […]

I think Alonso’s final stint was more impressive and showed potential. I know Merc had time in hand but he was within half a second of them consistently.

Nobody is questioning whether or not Hamilton’s tyre management was good, he was simply meaning was Rosberg right to question it – and clearly he was. The team had to tell Hamilton to speed up and to his credit he […]

2 out of 3 as well as dominating every single practice and quali so far. The signs are there.
Let’s review the ‘dominance’ at the end of the season!
Chris Lawson commented on the post, Hamilton's tyre-saving helped Raikkonen catch Vettel 7 years, 4 months ago
Yep he passed him twice. Once in the rain and once on a track where unlike China it didn’t eat up your tyres following another car.
So saying he would have just passed him is just your opinion. We don’t know […]

If that was the issue you’d just switch it off (or mute it).
My issue was that I got fed up of knowing who was going to win each race before it starts – as is happening now.

I was half expecting Wass1985’s comment to be sarcastic

Exactly! But we all know Rosberg can’t do anything right with most people!
I’d love to see what people’s reaction would be if it had been the other way around and Rosberg had been accused of backing Hamilton […]

perfect race. I’m sure it was in Hamilton’s thought process to slow the pack up enough that the Ferrari’s would get swapped around (eventhough he’s already said that he wasn’t aware of what was happening behind […]

Great point.
Unfortunately, there are too many people on here who think any race that Hamilton wins is a ‘great race’. The same people who found it tedious when Vettel was constantly winning.

Agree 100%.
Would put Alonso in there too – his pace in the final stint was incredible.

Most worrying for me is that you could finish 2nd in GP3, 3rd in GP2 – so proved to be competitive in the feeder series, yet not have enough points for F1.

Don’t think it was Brazilians! Think it was a well known swearword beginning with B. Also think it was aimed at Piquet for his nonsense set of questions and not coming back to the winner for the final question
Chris Lawson commented on the post, Rosberg weathers Hamilton onslaught for Brazil win 7 years, 9 months ago
Yep. Think it was because Piquet went back to Hamilton for the final question instead of the race winner Rosberg. Don’t think Piquet will be invited to do the podium interviews again somehow!

Did happen in canada 1990. Nannini had crashed and they left his car there. Alesi then had the same crash, smashed into the wreckage, and ended up on top of the tyre barriers.
Thankfully, Nannini had climbed […]
