CD commented on the post, Palou wins pole position in a record-breaking Indy 500 qualifying shootout 1 week, 3 days ago
Fantastic day overall. So much better when there’s more than 33 entrants.

CD commented on the post, Larson wants to "feel I'm prepared enough to win" in 2024 Indy 500 debut 1 week, 6 days ago
Yeah, they mentioned during the practice broadcast last night he came to IMS straight from some midweek event at some local track in Ohio. It’s crazy the amount of racing some of these drivers do.

CD commented on the post, Palou sees off Lundgaard and McLaren trio for emphatic Indianapolis GP win 2 weeks, 4 days ago
The graphics leave quite a bit to be desired imo. Current tyre choice and number of pit stops for each driver would be really helpful, I think. The timing graphics in the qualifying session could be much clearer, […]

CD commented on the post, Vettel to drive sustainably-fuelled F1 cars at Goodwood Festival of Speed 4 weeks, 1 day ago
The yellow/blue/white-liveried Williams cars of the mid-80’s to the early 90’s are some of my favourite F1 cars of all time. I pretty much love the entire run from the FW10 to the FW15C – if I had to pick one I’d […]

CD commented on the post, Kvyat to race for Lamborghini's WEC Hypercar programme using Italian licence 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Absolutely devastated when rumours turned into more rumours turned into news of Breen’s death over the course of yesterday afternoon. We lost a great man. I still remember his elation and that big smile at the […]

CD commented on the post, Newgarden denies O'Ward as Grosjean crash ends thrilling Texas 375 1 month, 4 weeks ago
Oh sure, I didn’t want to detract from Newgarden’s win at all with my comment – he was the only one able to at least sort of hang with O’Ward after all. Just thought Pato would have had this in the bag without the […]

CD commented on the post, Newgarden denies O'Ward as Grosjean crash ends thrilling Texas 375 2 months ago
That was some intense racing in the last 50 laps. Would have loved to see O’Ward take the win after the clinic he put on in the middle of the race.

CD commented on the post, Toyota ahead at quarter-distance after Ferrari make early pit stop from lead 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Companc’s crash in T1 looked quite similar to Bachler’s a litte bit earlier in the 12H qualifying, might want to take it easy there…

CD commented on the post, Ferrari seize Sebring pole ahead of Toyota on WEC return 2 months, 2 weeks ago
I wonder how much the track surface detracts from their ground effect concept. It can’t be the optimal venue for the car to put it mildly.

CD commented on the post, Ferrari's long-awaited return heralds thrilling new era for WEC's Hypercar class 2 months, 2 weeks ago
They reverted the (WEC, secondary) pit entry back to its previous configuration, by the way. Good decision IMO.

CD commented on the post, Button 'dreams of lighter cars' but says F1 is 'in a great place' 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Next weekend’s gonna be insane – Rally Mexico from Thursday to Sunday and Sebring with both the WEC 1000 miles on Friday and the IMSA 12 hours on Sat/Sun. Hope I can make my life fit around these!

CD commented on the post, Ericsson snatches win from O'Ward as crashes claim all four Andretti cars 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Meanwhile in his full Indycar seasons, he actually has been outscored by all of his full-season teammates. Dixon, Palou and Rosenqvist consistently placed in front of him in all seasons since 2020. The only […]

CD commented on the post, Ericsson snatches win from O'Ward as crashes claim all four Andretti cars 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Cracking race and an exciting start to the season, well maybe next time wreck a couple cars less. The turn that Grosjean and McLaughlin crashed in just isn’t wide enough to allow for two cars side by side […]

CD commented on the post, "Driven to Crime: True Stories of Wrongdoing in Motor Racing" reviewed 5 months, 4 weeks ago
Part of me wishes there was a resurgence of those shady private entries from the early 90’s. Some team noone’s ever heard of that base their inaugural season on a ‘radical’ chassis that an unnamed contractor […]

CD commented on the post, Permanent stewards would be "good progress" for Formula 1 – Perez 10 months, 2 weeks ago
The quote below the headline is quite ignorant, too. Anyone who’s followed oval racing closely or done some time in a serious simulator will tell you it’s anything but simply turning left four hours. You could […]

CD commented on the post, Newgarden grabs million-dollar prize bonus as title contenders hit trouble 11 months, 3 weeks ago
The race was kind of a blur for me in most parts but only because I could barely stay awake after following most of Le Mans the night before. What registered looked like your typical exciting Road America event […]

CD commented on the post, Power clings onto Detroit Grand Prix victory under pressure from Rossi 12 months ago
Rossi might have had a very real chance at winning if the race had gone one for just one more lap. I thought Power had this one in the bag already but Rossi made up huge chunks of time in the final laps. Those […]

CD commented on the post, Information overload? Which motorsport series has the most effective TV graphics package? 12 months ago
I wonder why more series don’t show colour-coded live sectors for all cars in qualifying like British GT do. for example.
Pink for overall fastest sector, green for personal best. It’s just a small extra column […]
