Good points, @d0senbrot, that marriage of insatiable greed with media spectacle.
But, there’s also a downside.
Neiana commented on the post, Alonso fears hydraulic failure in qualifying has cost him podium chance 5 months, 3 weeks ago
@d0senbrot I believe this is not bad luck, but Alonso is seriously overdriving the car. Being a talent like Alonso (and, since I will mention it later, Hamilton) is a bit of a double-edged sword at times. In […]
MattDS commented on the post, Verstappen's racing savvy and Red Bull's strategy deny Leclerc a second win 6 months ago
@d0senbrot the savvy part was in carefully making sure he wasn’t first to the DRS detection line all the while still having his nose in there so Charles could not take the ideal line through the last corner. […]
Michael commented on the post, Official: Russell to join Hamilton at Mercedes in 2022 1 year ago
@d0Senbrot it’ll never be toxic for Lewis – the team has enjoyed so much success together and Lewis has mentioned the team like a broken record giving credit to folks at the factory every chance he has. Almost […]
@d0senbrot Presumably it breaks the record for the fewest cars to take a standing start, from the US GP of 2005.
I wonder what race control would have done if every car had pitted, though. Would they have sent […]
@d0senbrot: everybody by now knows in Toto’s eyes Hamilton can’t do wrong. Not even hitting a switch in the car all by himself and throwing the race away was Lewis’s fault.. I guess Toto Wolff thinks Sir stands […]

even if the Alphas ruin their tires
Anyone else wish that Alpha Tauri were still called Toro Rosso, so as not to get confused with Alfa Romeo? I had to read @d0senbrot ‘s post twice to confirm that they hadn’t […]
Keith Campbell commented on the post, Vote for your 2021 Styrian Grand Prix Driver of the Weekend 1 year, 3 months ago
@d0senbrot From Ocon’s point of view he seems to have timed his contract renewal perfectly since the last two races he’s been heavily outperformed by Alonso. The question is whether this is a blip or a sign of things to come.

Balue commented on the post, Perez and Vettel triumph on day disaster struck their team mates 1 year, 3 months ago
@d0senbrot It was great to see how genuine Perez and Vettel were happy for the other, Aston celebrating Perez and I think I also saw Norris and Alonso coming up to Vettel. What a wholesome experience. +1
Warheart commented on the post, Perez and Vettel triumph on day disaster struck their team mates 1 year, 3 months ago
@d0senbrot I was listening to the driver’s radio messages at the end of the race and there was another nice detail: Sainz’s engineer was telling him how the race had ended, and instead of saying “Vettel” he said “Sebastian”.
@d0senbrot Would you think the same if a driver not on a provisional pole had crashed or if he wasn’t the one keeping pole at that moment? Purely coincidental, so people shouldn’t be critical.
@d0senbrot I hope that Leclerc leads from beginning to end and wins his home grand prix.

@d0senbrot I admit that I’ve been watching F1 fairly recently (2015) but in all the races that I’ve watched Hulkenberg was average at best. So, why is there so much hype around him especially after he was boo […]
Ben Rowe commented on the post, Russell admits Bottas was "probably not" at fault for crash 1 year, 5 months ago
I’m not sure Bottas will have been quite as bad the whole race. He is poor in the wet, but when he’s on a new stint with warmed up slicks on a dry line, he very rarely is this slow. So i think it is […]
@d0senbrot Not sure if this is the reasoning but with one dry line running across the start/finish straight some drivers would have a massive advantage/disadvantage over others just depending on whether the dry […]
