I wonder how many more drivers they’ll announce by Melbourne 2016.

The one thing I don’t quite understand is why Lewis thought he would’ve got to the end on the Options.
At the end of his first Prime stint, he had 32 laps to make it to the end of the race after completing 20 […]

darkenforca commented on the post, Bahrain to continue opposing Qatar F1 race 8 years, 4 months ago
NZ doesn’t exactly have a circuit capable of hosting a Formula One round, nor do we have a population that would support it too much.
We have too much of a… “V8, Holden v Ford culture”

As a Kiwi with a life that circles around Motorsport, I wouldn’t say it’s not a big culture, because it is. It’s just that it’s more of a V8SC culture, rather than an Open Wheel nation.
Despite us having one […]

Went for Vettel on this one.
Given that he missed FP2, where most of the race setup work is done, for him to qualify P3, in front of his Team-mate and race to finish P5 was a fantastic job.

darkenforca commented on the post, Letting Rosberg past would have cost me – Hamilton 8 years, 10 months ago
I’m not going to go into depths about the Vettel/Webber incident again, but when you’ve won two of your last three titles by a total of 7 points and there’s 7 points sitting right there in front of you, you’re […]

I agree with what Hamilton did, he was well within his rights to fight his team-mate, even though his team-mate would’ve been faster had he got through.
However. I find it a shame that this will be remembered […]

darkenforca commented on the post, Bottas aiming for wins during second half of season 8 years, 10 months ago
In terms of consistency, the deployment of a Safety Car depends on a lot of factors, whether there are Marshals close enough, whether they have to open up a gate to get the car through, the list goes on.
There […]

I get what you’re saying, but from memory that Canadian incident seemed a little rushed, among other things. That and I’m not sure if you’ve ever stepped on a painted white line at the edge of a track when it’s […]

Just wanted to talk about the incident with Sutil’s Sauber being stuck on the circuit.
When Race Control decided to send the Marshals out on circuit, from the moment the first Marshal set foot on the circuit to […]

darkenforca commented on the post, Rosberg takes home win as Hamilton battles back to third 8 years, 10 months ago
A Safety Car at that point would’ve completely changed the outcome of the race. While Sutil’s car had spun in a difficult to recover position, the marshals there were able to recover the car without bringing out […]

Not quite, I believe the pit lane starters aren’t released until the last car has reached the pit exit, not when the first sector has been completed.

Did you read Keith’s article about the strategies at play during the Japanese Grand Prix?

As I’m sure most others will do, I voted for Hulk, but honorable mentions to both Vettel and Grosjean.
It wasn’t as easy as it looked for Vettel, while he was able to pull out the 4 second gap pretty quickly […]

Webber’s stats are poor because of Redbull’s experiments on his car
What evidence is there of this actually happening?

Unfortunately no, I was incorrect as to where I thought the Flag Points were.
I apologise if I confused anyone through all of this (I have a feeling that I did.), but it was an honest mistake. […]

To follow up, I’ve found this track map which shows a Flag Point I was previously unaware of and makes things a whole lot clearer.
The lights were on at the Flag Point on the Drivers right, as the should have […]

I’m not 100% sure where the incident is in relation to the Flag Point in question, however, unless it is *directly* opposite the Flag Point, then no matter how close the incident is, or no matter how far away it […]

Yellow should be followed by a Green. Yellow and Red (I assume you’re meaning the Slippery Surface/Debris Flag) does not need the next flag point to display a certain colour and if there’s a Red […]
