Nice find @ejay. Free practice drivers definitely shouldn’t count towards the number, as they aren’t driving with the intention to race. The highest number of entrants with different nationalities a) entered, b) qualified to race (or should DNSs not count?) could both make interesting statistics, but that needs proper a bit more research.

@davidjh But they aren’t making that determination based on a few tenths of a second here versus a few tenths of a second there. They’re making it based on “if we don’t get in someone who can pay we can’t go racing”.

@Kingshark yes Lotus looks a good bet. The surface in Valencia should favor the Lotus too. The Lotus seems to prefer rougher, more abrasive surfaces than the smooth Monaco/Canada type surface.
