@drycrust – yes he did but for the most part I was on the edge of my seat as Daniel battled with his car’s faults trying not to have it die on him and lose yet another one.
If I recall correctly (and I could be […]

If you listen to the series 1 finale of the Bring Back V10s podcast, Gary Anderson and Mark Hughes provide a very good description as to why Kimi lost his edge post 2006. They believe it was primarily […]

@drycrust Kimi’s poor form in his second stint as a Ferrari driver carried on against Vettel. He had strong performance driving for Lotus-Renault just one year before being paired with Fernando so it’s a rather curious one.

True, but most of the suggestions at the moment are just to exclude paying for crash damage caused by others from the cost cap. This would have absolutely zero effect for the poorest teams on the […]
You’re correct about [Sporting Regulation] 43.3 but not really an issue. Every driver/team is well aware of this and it’s a mute point since they’re already suspecting that their going to be inspected […]
@drycrust It went down by 400,000, according to the one site I saw.
“Because the rules state that if you don’t return to the pits and supply the mandatory 1 litre of fuel then the FIA has to take a larger than 1 litre fuel sample. This larger amount comprises the m […]
@drycrust Especially since the reason the fuel is needed is to do chemical analysis. You can’t do chemical analysis on a fuel guage!

@drycrust, Good analysis, perhaps we need a different system for qualifying, something like a short race where they can all go for it together should do it.
@drycrust Is this a reply to me? Sorry it’s hard to see the different indentation levels on iPad. But anyway, if it is then like I said in my comment you would need to award more point further down the order, f […]
@drycrust No one wants to go into the Race with a damaged car, so why would you want to be involved with the Sprint?
If that were the direction F1 would go in, you’d surely want to get rid of parc ferme after t […]
I think that having a small winglet / strake there would actually shape and deflect part of the wake of the turning wheels there @drycrust, possibly preventing that from forming a large plume
@drycrust The difference is because it’s edited for A5, most likely for the convenience of landscape iPad users (who would, indeed, see it as 184 pages.
@drycrust I believe, although this has not been confirmed, that at the start of normal Qualifying, a looser version of Parc ferme will apply with a few more changes than normal allowed for FP2. They will then […]

@drycrust If my GCSE in Physics was telling the truth, knots per hour would be nautical miles per (hour) squared. Therefore it would be a really odd unit of acceleration. But yeah it is an odd unit anyway.
