EB commented on the post, F1 wants a US driver, but an IndyCar pipeline suits no one 3 months, 1 week ago
I would argue the top teams in IndyCar are the top teams in a large part because they can employ the best drivers. Gannasi’s second car has done nothing, they are top team because Dixon’s a top driver. Penske […]
EB commented on the post, McLaren confident sprint races will not "artificially change the pecking order" 8 months ago
I don’t quite understand the point of the end result just gets you back to where you would be through qualifying. I guess I will probably watch so I do understand the point but it still seems a giant waist of time […]
EB commented on the post, Grosjean 'regrets not checking the IndyCar calendar' 11 months, 2 weeks ago
Does Grosjean bring sponsors? I’ve never got the sense that he did. Unfortunately all that is left in Indycar are seats that require funding. Would like to see what he could do we well.

Apparently, but for seeing it advertised on F1, young kids wouldn’t drink alcohol.
EB commented on the post, Poll: F1's Halo vs IndyCar's Aeroscreen – which looks best? 1 year, 8 months ago
Next-gen AeroScreens that get designed as part of the car will no doubt look more integrated and I’ve had some time to get used to the Halo. The AS was really on track for the first time as more or less a finished […]
EB commented on the post, Not enough time to issue verdict on Leclerc before race start – Masi 1 year, 10 months ago
What would a mitigating factor actually be though that would require a response from the team before a ruling is made? Seems black and white that the fuel level in the car is different than what was reported. The […]
I can answer, same car, they use a different aero package for the super speedways (large ovals). They will have this for all races. I’m not sure they have a full solution for rain yet. They will use a coating that […]
EB commented on the post, High-degradation tyres "completely the wrong thing" for F1 – Symonds 2 years, 3 months ago
Watching Ricciardo chase Sainz lap after lap on the hard tires proved that for me. The softer tires melting if you don’t give a 2 second gap is the biggest problem to close racing.
EB commented on the post, Ferrari to introduce new power unit four weeks early at Spanish Grand Prix 2 years, 5 months ago
Isn’t there regulation that says customer teams get the same equipment? Does this mean HAAS and Alfa get the same option to upgrade this weekend as well? Or is there a grace period where the manufacture can run a […]
The aero screen option they were testing didn’t do as well in crash testing as they hoped it would. They are still planning on going to that as a solution, they are just working on materials that don’t distort […]
If the new entrant comes in and does well do they need to share the improvements they come up with? Can Honda request help to catch up? Would love to have new entrants but I’m not sure I like this rule.
Harding is apparently already running Andretti dampers, they were on hand for the rookie test for either O’Ward or Herta (or both I guess) per Marshall Pruett working on the setup. If there was any question if […]
EB commented on the post, Haas has not agreed for Force India to receive prize money 3 years, 1 month ago
HAAS bought the headquarters and I would assume quite a bit of equipment from Manor. Since he was staffing up at a time two teams were folding I would assume he hired at least a decent percentage of their staff […]
EB commented on the post, Pirelli prepared to offer 18-inch wheels and 'smart tyres' in F1 3 years, 4 months ago
It comes up even though you have the president of the only company it effects saying it doesn’t matter. If Pirelli doesn’t care then it really isn’t a drawback at all is it?
EB commented on the post, Stroll's father wants Williams to 'do a Haas' with Mercedes 3 years, 5 months ago
Why would Stroll have to pay for it? HAAS is doing it to keep the budget down, Williams budget while on the lower end of the grid is still much higher then HAAS so if Williams went that route they should be able […]
EB commented on the post, Missing Q3 was a "bad surprise" for McLaren – Alonso 3 years, 6 months ago
It’s looking more and more like they overloaded the aero last year to make the car look better in the corners knowing they could just blame the lack of straight-line speed on Honda’s power deficit. Honda still has […]
EB commented on the post, Alonso will miss the Monaco Grand Prix to race in the Indianapolis 500 4 years, 6 months ago
Honda probably has the better engine in Indycar, they won the first two races this year, Rossi won the 500 last year in a Honda powered car and Andretti is always strong setup wise. Other than the obvious lack of […]
EB commented on the post, New engines to blame for teams collapsing – Horner 6 years, 11 months ago
My thoughts exactly, why make everyone do things more or less the same way, set a regulation and let them solve the problem how they want, if that means V8’s for some and turbo V6’s for others all for it.
