Steven Robertson commented on the post, 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix race result 5 months ago
Mercedes sure have shafted their customer teams with an engine built to suit their own car. McLaren, Aston and Williams fans may as well write this season off already.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix grid 5 months ago
6 of the bottom 8 cars are Mercedes’ powered, which makes me think that Mercedes’ have messed that up too.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Hamilton: People who say Mercedes are talking ourselves down are in for a surprise 5 months, 1 week ago
I believe it this time, yes they will be a top 3 car, that’s almost guaranteed but optimising performance to find a tenth to be top seems a long way off. That car looked awful. The question is how did this h […]
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Wolff doesn't fear legality dispute over new Mercedes sidepod design 5 months, 1 week ago
We have no evidence this design is any better than what the other teams have arrived with, let’s wait until the first race before talk of banning things.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, 2022 F1 pre-season testing day four in pictures 5 months, 1 week ago
I say this every year but why is the testing not on YouTube, let everyone have a chance to see the cars in action and get new fans excited enough to purchase whatever subscription their country demands.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Brawn – No legality concerns over "extreme" Mercedes sidepod design 5 months, 1 week ago
I have no idea if they are legal or not because I haven’t read the detailed regulations, only observation I have is an under car vent to cool the engine might result in less usable downforce, but no sidepods w […]
Steven Robertson commented on the post, FIA urged to block Russian competitors from races over Ukraine invasion 5 months, 3 weeks ago
He shouldn’t be driving in F1 anyway – he’s a paid driver whose family wealth has unfortunately fallen on the wrong side of a political event. Would anyone actually miss him ?
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Why the budget cap could be F1's next battleground between Mercedes and Red Bull 8 months, 1 week ago
I have no idea how any of this will be monitored, I have a horrible feeling the best car of 2022 will be the one which bended these financial rules the most.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Verstappen keeps win and championship as stewards reject both Mercedes protests 8 months, 1 week ago
I kinda hope Mercedes pull out of F1 over the winter and take their engine supplier obligations with them. Enjoy dealing with that mess FIA.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Verstappen is champion as controversial last-lap call leaves Mercedes seething 8 months, 1 week ago
I can’t see any other course of action than Mercedes’ appealing this decision. The correct lapped car rules weren’t followed.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Verstappen clinches the 2021 drivers' championship with last-lap pass 8 months, 1 week ago
It was exciting but I don’t know If that was legal. max and Hamilton would both have been worthy winners. The main loser has been the officiating this season. Masi needs to go.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Mercedes see "a lesson to learn" from Red Bull's qualifying tow tactics 8 months, 1 week ago
I’m just hoping there isn’t a crash that involves point deductions and then a week of appeals.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Hamilton says he's "in a good position" despite Verstappen taking pole 8 months, 1 week ago
It’s a great scenario for Lewis. Can sit behind max at the start (avoiding potential collisions) and manage his tyres knowing red bull will have to two stop when he’ll go medium – hard to the end.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix grid 8 months, 1 week ago
Looks like red bull finally got their rear wing working working when they needed it, track position and faster than Hamilton on a straight.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Drivers warned points deductions possible for 'unethical' behaviour in title showdown 8 months, 1 week ago
Its a good safety net for ensuring the last race gives fans what they want, a straight fight for the title, but i am curious what drivers action would actually qualify for this and why it hasn’t been used the rest […]
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Verstappen keeps second place after penalty for slowing in front of Hamilton 8 months, 2 weeks ago
Time penalties don’t mean much when the front runners are so far ahead, Verstappen ended up with 15 seconds of penalties and still finished 2nd. If Bottas got 15 seconds of penalties he’d have dropped from 3rd to […]
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Rate the race: 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 8 months, 2 weeks ago
It was exciting for all the wrong reasons, one of the dirtiest races I’ve ever saw. Something needs to be done about the standard of the driving or someone is going to be killed.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Norris believes stewards let Verstappen force Hamilton wide because run-off wasn't gravel 9 months ago
I think the stewards took into account the after effect of the incident when Perez went into the gravel and wrecked his race. Which they shouldn’t do. I imagine Horner would have been bombarding the stewards w […]
Steven Robertson commented on the post, FIA told drivers to expect 'different decisions with different stewards' – Hamilton 9 months ago
What a shambles, I can’t decide if this is incompetence or a desire to create drama to drive up share prices.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, Analysis: What penalties are Verstappen, Bottas and Sainz at risk of in Qatar? 9 months ago
Can clearly see the double waved yellows in the video and he made no attempt to slow down – that’s a slam dunk for a penalty.
