Hamilton probably got a prime time view of the flexing wing sitting behind Verstappen most of the last race. He did say in an interview he learned a few things about the red bulls performance after the race.
Is there any historical precedent for a team taking ownership of an engine and developing it in-house? Honda put a lot of money and hundreds of staff into developing their engine, building it to their own design […]
I can only speak for the UK, but my main issue isn’t the PPV it’s the cost of it, at around £40 a month for a full sports channel I don’t want. So I watch the channel 4 highlights instead.
Horner is getting desperate as the high hopes for this season fall apart.

A tenth here or there is irrelevant in this title fight, it’s going to come down to reliability. Losing a potential 25 points for a DNF is going to be hard to claw back.
I’m sure the marketing teams create a satisfaction rating for each event at the moment, probably just compare these races against existing benchmarks. Data used would probably be things like TV viewers, social m […]
This reminds me of a few years ago when Mercedes (I’m guessing Toto) let lotus (who had a Mercedes engine) access a higher power mode just so one of their cars could pass and take points of Ferrari at Spa.
Probably played too many video games but I think tracks should show some of the local geography/features to make the track unique to that place, sadly this track has none of that. Should have went to long beach instead.

Re COTD, lando to Mercedes, Russell to McLaren.

I feel sorry for Russell, norris is the better driver to replace Hamilton, maybe Russell to McLaren when the deal eventually happens.
I think it’s too soon to tell, Bottas has been a solid #2 for several years, I don’t think his effort or determination has reduced. I feel it’s more about the poor car Mercedes made for 2021. Without DAS and solid […]
How difficult is it to change a cars rake from low to high? Is this the sort of problem that will persist all season or is there a fix that will take a couple of races.
Two observations as I’m filling in my f1 excel stats sheet, Since f1 races show the time splits between drivers, why don’t they show the time behind for qualifying? The official f1 website just has lap times and […]
Business as usual with the top 2 teams, a good fight between McLaren and Ferrari for 3rd (and lando v Carlos) Aston and Renault seemed to have lost pace. 2022 can’t come quick enough for half the grid.
If an F1 driver groped my sister/wife/mother , the last thing I would want is to drop it and move on. He has to realise that he is accountable for his actions and what he did was wrong. Which he doesn’t seem to be doing.
Gene Hass (who seems like a nice but naive guy) needs to sell his team as soon as possible, it’s completely toxic for multiple reasons and will surely harm any benefits he’s already getting.
The main contender to out bid sky would be Amazon, they already stream live sport and have involvement in the data side of the programming. I’d be happy with this.
I can see the benefits, could get better social media coverage with race highlights on a Saturday and Sunday. Not sure how the Friday qualifying would work though as people generally work on a Friday. May as well […]
I’m not sure how you converge performance with these incredibly complicated engines. The ICE’s should be easy to do, but good luck with the energy recovery systems.
Steven Robertson commented on the post, How can Formula 1 make Saturday sprint races a success? 4 months, 1 week ago
This feel like making it easier to adopt electric powered cars in the future, less distance so less battery power required. Battery power in 5-6 years may be able to do a half race distance, which would be ideal […]
