Hi Ra-Sewn,
I went on the official web site http://www.gpcanada.ca/ and some GS ticket are available, appears only 3 day passes, but I have called them in the past to get the best seat available 514-350-0000 or toll free 1-855-790-1245.General admission are generally not good for viewing, but it’s the experience of going.
You can always try the scalpers outside the Metro station, but you have to watch for the police, they tend to give the scalpers a hard time , I’ve only used them to trade a set of 2 for 1, had too many tickets.
Good luck,
John

I suggest you bring your food from outside, was there once but don’t recall the choices. a do remember it was costly.
For Montreal, I always bring food in, choices are good but can be pricey.
Have fun !8th May 2019, 14:03 at 2:03 pm #393731John WardParticipantJust bought a 3 day ticket for GS24 (Lance Stroll Grandstand), was hoping to purchase the 3 day trio package, a reserved seat in a different GS each day, but they don’t offer anymore. I’ve sat in GS 24 before and the view was good, watching them brake before the hairpin.
Is there group on here that swaps tickets, for the day?
Sorry Gordon, I only have the one ticket, wish you luck! You will enjoy those seats, I have sat in them many times, only wish they would provide more picnic space behind the stands.

27th April 2017, 17:51 at 5:51 pm #341091John WardParticipantJust bought my tickets, was on the official web site checking out what was available and noticed there were no trio packages available and I was planning on purchasing the silver package. So I called and spoke to a nice lady (who is also going), she checked and informed me that the platinum packages are available, which is GS1 on Fri, GS12 on Sat and GS15 on race day, she also placed me high up so I am not looking through the fencing, she was very helpful.
So my tip to all, don’t believe the web site with regards to tickets and if you want to sit in a good seat, call ahead and speak to someone.
Looking forward to the weekend, staying at the McGill Uni. residence $75/night, leaving the car at home and taking the train, station is 10 min walk to the residence and 5 min. to the Metro and close to the fan zone.Cheers,
john24th April 2017, 23:05 at 11:05 pm #340935John WardParticipantThe city does come to life, plenty to do and see, I am sure you will enjoy. I plan to buy my tickets very shortly.
Cheers,
John
21st February 2017, 18:02 at 6:02 pm #335221John WardParticipantHello All,
The trio ticket packages are back, they went on sale yesterday and they have the changed the choices of GS, for both the gold & silver they have included GS 1, across from the paddocks.Question;
I missed last years race, so have a question regarding the new security measures that were supposed to have taken place.
I read last year, that mono pods were not allowed, so did anyone have an issue with their mono pod or know of any issues?Looking forward to this years race, will be buying the silver trio, GS 15, 1 and then GS 12 on Sunday. I always call for the tickets, easier to get what you want.
Cheers,
john
5th December 2016, 15:48 at 3:48 pm #333852John WardParticipantThe tickets are on sale now, I asked about the trio packages and they are not available, so I am going to wait awhile. The trio silver lets you sit in a different GS each day, a great deal, giving you a variety.
Cheers28th April 2016, 22:46 at 10:46 pm #318606John WardParticipantJust wanted to add my little addition to the thread.
I have been going to the Canadian GP since the late 60’s, when it was run at Mosport and to Montreal since it began. Have done the Montreal GP since the beginning and it gets better each year. I live in Toronto, so I have done my trip in various ways, airplane, train & car and stayed in various hotels. I will choose the train again, don’t need a car in Montreal. Wwhen you arrive buy a 3 or 4 day pass for the metro, the subway takes you right to the circuit.
It might not be for everyone, but I take the train from Toronto and stay at McGill University at the residence for $75/nt, arrive Thursday and leave on the Monday, so $300 for my stay, the place is clean and accessible to everything, a short walk from the train station. Paying $600-700/nt just didn’t make any sense, especially when your out all day at the circuit, quick nap and then out at night till the early hours of the morning.
As for tickets, for me the best way is their office, speak to a person and get what you want, you want to sit up high above the fence line, you can even ask for an aisle seat. I have posted before with the best seating areas, I have sat in most of the GS, all depends on your budget, likes and dislikes.
I can’t begin naming all the restaurants, there are too many to list, from fine dining to the hole in the wall, my last trip, I found Joe Panini’s at Drummond & Ste. Catherines, open 24hrs..great sandwiches for dinner or late night snack for about $5. You may see a long lineup late at night, but it moves quick.
Well if you have any questions, shoot me a line……….this year, not making it…my son is getting married. Hope you all have a good time!!!
Cheers,
John3rd June 2015, 12:43 at 12:43 pm #299346John WardParticipantHello all,
Just got my seats for GS11, I called the office and made sure they were up high and in a good section, not below the fence line.
If anyone wants to trade up for the day either Friday or Saturday, with a seat in GS24 or GS15, I wanted to get some different spots for photography, as I have done in the past with the silver trio package.
Hope you all enjoy the weekend, should be good.Cheers,
John20th November 2013, 13:50 at 1:50 pm #181054John WardParticipantI just bought the silver trio package for 2014, they called & emailed offering the trio packages before offering to the public, not sure about the Mexico GP for 2014 so went ahead with Montreal again.
Last year they did open the fence, in front of GS#12 which gives you access to the podium, but be ready and be down at the fence at least 5 laps before the end of the race, before the fence opens up.
If you’re set on the gold seats, I would recommend calling them direct, I had problems trying to order online last year.Good Luck

GA on Sunday are fine, if you get there early and get a good seat, the good spots fill up fast.Lokesh,
Have you checked the home site for the Canadian Grand Prix? A good start to find out about tickets and general information.
http://www.circuitgillesvilleneuve.ca/home21st January 2013, 19:09 at 7:09 pm #181045John WardParticipantTom,
I bought mine 3 weeks ago, tried to do it on the phone and they informed me they were sold out with the 3 day silver package, so I went online and was able to buy the 3 day package in silver, after they told they were gone. Last week the package arrived. Just thought it was strange, person telling something else and then buying what I wanted.
So you might want to try online………good luck15th January 2013, 13:39 at 1:39 pm #204272John WardParticipantMclarengal,
GS 11 or 12 are very good, sat in them both a few times, GS 1 & 2 I did one year, they’re ok for the pit lane, but to watch a race you miss most of the action. I wouldn’t recommend the GA tickets which are the cheapest, also very diffficult to get a clear view of anything.11th January 2013, 2:33 at 2:33 am #204270John WardParticipantJust got my tickets yesterday, GS24, 15 & 12……should be good for different camera angles, its been years since been able to sit in different GS during this event.
31st December 2012, 16:59 at 4:59 pm #204267John WardParticipantJust bought my tickets, bought the silver trio package, i’ll be sitting in GS 15, 24 & 12. Can someone tell me about the Thursday’s paddock walk?
