Jason Miller commented on the post, Norris criticises "selfish" rivals after IndyCar iRacing crashes 3 years, 1 month ago
>The IndyCar/iRacing series allowed to “discover” this driver I didn’t know about before!
I’m glad McLaughlin is getting the international attention he deserves. It was pretty apparent that he was a speci […] -
Jason Miller commented on the post, Poll: Should F1 keep its superlicence points system? 3 years, 3 months ago
The only purpose ever served by the superlicense points system was to channel young drivers into FIA/FOM-owned and operated series at the expense of other racing categories and organizations.
Kill it with fire.

Jason Miller commented on the post, Alonso tipped for Andretti IndyCar return 3 years, 4 months ago
Surely Alonso can afford to fund his own seat for the 500. He can’t have spent all his millions on strippers and booze, right?
Honda may be a bigger obstacle, depending on how long they feel like holding a grudge.

Jason Miller commented on the post, Interview: Panthera on their plans to enter a new F1 team in 2021 3 years, 8 months ago
@HoHum, I hope you’re right, because having a Chinese auto manufacturer in F1 would be a good way to add a new team with some plausible staying power, and would make sense for an auto company looking to make the […]

Jason Miller commented on the post, Interview: Panthera on their plans to enter a new F1 team in 2021 3 years, 8 months ago
The first problem with Panthera is that it’s a Formula 1 team, and just a Formula 1 team. Who is going to pay for this team, and why? Haas makes sense as a team because Gene Haas has his machine tool business, […]

Jason Miller commented on the post, Alonso should do full IndyCar season to improve Indy 500 chances – Pagenaud 3 years, 8 months ago
As Pagenaud correctly observed, all the right pieces need to be in place to give any driver a good chance of winning the Indy 500. A single-event entry will never get the best pit crew; the best guys will already […]

Jason Miller commented on the post, Peroni suffered concussion and fractured vertebra in aerial F3 crash 3 years, 8 months ago
If that crash happened in a racing game, people would complain about how unrealistic the physics were.

Jason Miller commented on the post, Vettel wants F1 to drop "super-boring" sponsor trophies 3 years, 10 months ago
It’s nice to see that Vettel has solved all of his, Ferrari’s, and F1’s other problems, so now he has nothing better to do than complain about the trophies.

Jason Miller commented on the post, Grosjean's running limited by "big cut" in tyre 3 years, 11 months ago
dysfunctional organisational culture
I’m not sure of the original source, but Alain Prost is reported to have said of Ferrari “from the outside, you wonder how they ever lose. From the inside, you wonder how they ever win.” -
Jason Miller commented on the post, Grosjean's running limited by "big cut" in tyre 3 years, 11 months ago
I would guess that it’s technical stuff, as Vettel is reputed to be one of the more technically-minded drivers. In 2010 he was the only driver to visit Pirelli to gather information about the tires in advance of […]

How many years has McLaren been “starting the journey to recovery” for now?

Jason Miller commented on the post, How Sauber joined the ranks of Formula 1's former teams 4 years, 3 months ago
“Today only three teams still race under their original registrations: Ferrari, McLaren and Williams”.
Also Haas. Granted, not for nearly as long a time, but still, they’re on their original registration.

The car looks fine. Too bad the liveries are awful.

Jason Miller commented on the post, Friday F1 'tests' not compromising McLaren's performance – Alonso 4 years, 10 months ago
The problem with Abiteboul’s idea is that if the F1 calendar was substantially reduced, and the race organizers bid up the price of hosting rights, which tracks do you think would lose out? It wouldn’t be Abu […]

Jason Miller commented on the post, Williams and Force India on same level – Stroll 5 years, 2 months ago
F1 will continue to be worth spending big bucks and employing big teams as long as it has a big audience. Quite simply, motorsport is advertising, and the value & price of any advertising depends on how many […]

Jason Miller commented on the post, Formula E races shortened for 2018/19 season 5 years, 2 months ago
I can’t wait to see the back-of-the-pack drivers who will drive extra slowly in order to attempt to snag the point for most efficient driver.
The organizers of motorsports really need to hire some economists or […]

Jason Miller commented on the post, WEC moves Fuji race so Alonso can enter 5 years, 3 months ago
They could’ve gone to September 23rd or November 4th and avoided conflicting with both F1 and IMSA. 52 weeks in a year and this is the best they could do? Seems more like a calculated insult to IMSA from a […]

Jason Miller commented on the post, New distance record in Daytona 24 Hours but no joy for F1 pair 5 years, 4 months ago
They blamed the teams for the failures, but then confirmed that the #10, which had the most failures, was running the tires within the recommended parameters.

Jason Miller commented on the post, F1 striving to "get rid of predictability" 5 years, 4 months ago
Renault wants customer teams to run its juniors (Autosport)
