how does customer teams work? If I’m HAAS can I switch from Ferrari Power to Honda? Also, can I eventually get HAAS around to designing and manufacturing their own PU (likely wouldn’t bother but worth the ask)? […]

So maybe Ferrari was right about RBR spending 75% of their budget already? lol. Looks like the cap is working as intended. I don’t buy the fact that teams are at risk of missing races as that is budgeted before the season.
Hiland commented on the post, Does anyone have a 'killer upgrade' for Catalunya? Spanish GP talking points 2 months, 3 weeks ago
@robbie
I’m willing to bet RBR is some where in between the 75% and 18% spent range. None the less, weight savings cost’s a lot of money. It’s not an easy/cheap task to shred weight as it usually means redesign […]Hiland commented on the post, F1 drivers urge safety changes before race to barrier Sainz and Ocon hit 3 months ago
For one this is a low speed section so I’m not so sure it is a huge “safety concern”. I do agree there needs to be something (tires at a minimum) to help lesson the amount of damage to cars though.

@nullapax
Yes, when it rains it comes down hard. With that said, the nice thing is that the rain passes through quickly and doesn’t sit around. On the other token, the storms can pop-up quickly.Hiland commented on the post, Leclerc says title fight is on as Melbourne win hands him 34-point lead 3 months, 4 weeks ago

How has Ferrari not routinely finished? Ferrari has finished 83.3% of the first three races (one car DNF’ed) that was entirely on Sainz. RBR however has finished only 50% of their races (3 DNF’ed) in three races.Hiland commented on the post, 'We should have been fighting for a win' rues Sainz after early retirement 3 months, 4 weeks ago
Then don’t use the red flag at all if safety isn’t for safety concerns. We can’t add special circumstances for specific situations as it will add confusion to the meaning behind the red flag. TBH, I don’t see the […]

Absolutely not. Red flag means there is a safety concern. If medical needs to react immediately, they can’t have cars going full bore around the track. So no. Red flag in ALL racing series is to come to […]Hiland commented on the post, 342kph along the Strip: First look at F1's new Las Vegas street circuit 4 months, 1 week ago
Its a street course if the roads are open for public use outside of the race weekend.

Montreal is a race that I’ve attended three times. Ciruit Gilles Villeneuve is on park roads similar to that of Melbourne.Hiland commented on the post, 342kph along the Strip: First look at F1's new Las Vegas street circuit 4 months, 1 week ago
Argh… another street race! F1 already has 9 street races on a 22 race calendar for this year (10 out of 23 if Russia race was still on the calendar). That makes almost half the races are on the streets. Far too […]

Just saw the replay again… Stroll completely left the door open and Albon was well along side. Albon only locked up when he realized Stroll was just going to cut down on him. Bad ruling by the stewards.
Hiland commented on the post, Albon gets three-place grid penalty, no action on Sainz and Perez yellow flag incidents 4 months, 1 week ago
Albon was well along side (at least half way up which I consider well along side) and Stroll just chopped in on him. At least from the few shots that I saw I would have thought Stroll was most at fault.

I think its more about the way RBR went low downforce and focused on a fast 2nd and 3rd sector. Alfa Tauri wasn’t nearly as strong as RBR was on the straights.
