FormulaLes commented on the post, Removing fourth DRS zone at Albert Park was "unnecessary" – Symonds 10 months ago
How does Alonso have so much pull? All weekend the Sky coverage was hyping everything he did. Even the local Supercars coverage was hyping him up like he was the second coming of Jesus (he drove a Supercar on the […]
FormulaLes commented on the post, Horner praises Perez's "very calm head" after taking fifth place from pit lane start 1 year, 10 months ago
He won the Sakhir Grand Prix after dropping to last place on the first lap, in a Racing Point. The guy can drive, and he can pass. To put his performance in Bahrain down to the Red Bull is to under estimate Perez’s ability.
FormulaLes commented on the post, Losing long-serving staff to meet budget cap was painful, says Horner 1 year, 10 months ago
Radical idea incoming – pay the drivers less, pay the team principals less, and keep more of the hard working staff that are on lower wages. Halving a driver salary still provides drivers with massive pay, yet […]

FormulaLes commented on the post, The top-of-the-range hardware in Alexander Albon's simracing rig 2 years, 9 months ago
The important thing to note is that a lot of these higher end rigs are insanely over engineered for no other reason than to look “pro”. The people selling them must have some incrediable margins.
All you […]
FormulaLes commented on the post, Verstappen chooses Australian Supercars' Esports series over F1's Virtual Grands Prix 2 years, 9 months ago
I think it’s an issue that Liberty inherited from the Eccelstone era. Liberty have been doing a lot to bring F1 to the 21st century. I would imagine that getting a better esports presence will be moving up their […]
FormulaLes commented on the post, Motorsport and simracing "two completely different worlds" – Dixon 2 years, 10 months ago
The Racer article is extremely negative in it’s tone. So what if guys like Sage Karam are doing hundreds of laps practicing? At the end of the day each of the drivers are paid to be the best race drivers they can […]

Also, would be handy if they could not make it clash with Bathurst.
FormulaLes commented on the post, Qualifying delayed to Sunday due to Super Typhoon Hagibis 3 years, 4 months ago
Seems pretty silly to keep scheduling the Japanese Grand Prix in typhoon season. It feels like nearly every year the weather impacts activities at Suzuka.
FormulaLes commented on the post, Vettel: Some races should stay even if they pay nothing 3 years, 6 months ago
It would be a fairer and better business model for the circuits, and probably better for motorsport as a whole, as a circuits not losing money has to be a good thing. I’d like to see it.
For FOM however, the […]

FormulaLes commented on the post, Combustion engine racing will go the way of tobacco advertising, warns Di Grassi 4 years ago
Correct. From the Forbes article linked below. Worldwide electricity generation:
Coal 41%
Gas 22%
Nuclear 11%
Other 26%To me this means that at most 26% of the world’s electricity usage is some form of […]
FormulaLes commented on the post, F1 should reflect on Alonso's reason for leaving – Sainz 4 years, 3 months ago
F1 should reflect on why they let Alonso stay in the sport for so long. Rightly or wrongly his name has been associated with multiple controversies over the years. For someone who is apparently such a good driver […]
FormulaLes commented on the post, Hartley relieved with sixth after 'six months of crap' 4 years, 4 months ago
I would love to know just how much meddling goes on behind the scenes at both Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing by a certain advisor to Red Bull. Compared to other teams (aside from maybe Ferrari), if you’re not […]
FormulaLes commented on the post, Is Alonso now seeking a unique 'Triple Crown of Championships'? 4 years, 5 months ago
I agree. Real champions want to compete against the best, not be given “easy victories” by running the only car in its class.
If he manages to win Indy500, that will be a real victory. Le Mans however, I’d […]
FormulaLes commented on the post, McLaren would "love to race with Honda again" – in IndyCar 4 years, 8 months ago
The problem with McLaren going to Indycar is that it dilutes the value of their brand. Not because Indycar isn’t competitive, it is, but because it’s an automotive manufacturer racing a car designed and man […]
FormulaLes commented on the post, Hartley shrugs off Norris rumours: "I know what my contract says" 4 years, 8 months ago
Really? Max Vestappen has threatened physical abuse against journalists if they keep asking him questions that he didn’t like, and you’re trying to defend that? He is grossly out of line, and this sort of beh […]
FormulaLes commented on the post, FanVision returns to F1 after five-year absence 4 years, 9 months ago
I hired one of these at the 2011 Australian Grand Prix. At the time it was really great and well worth the money.
Hopefully with advances in technology their units in 2018 are much more compact, or they have […]
FormulaLes commented on the post, Women are more competitive in lower-downforce cars – Jorda 4 years, 11 months ago
Exactly, and drive top fuel cars, fly in space shuttles, and ride on roller coasters. I believe a capable woman is able to be competitive in Formula 1.
