Agreed. Vergne needed that drive last year. He’s a little inconsistent and riddled with bad luck but he does have these awesome drives in him.. Monaco 2012 I think was one? I heard his weight is worth +0.2s or […]

And is in F1 in a year when his weight is penalised.

We have a winner! Thanks for that.

I know how you feel. Webber is the third of my guys to go after Damon Hill and David Coulthard. Though in the case of Webber, at least he was able to have good next day headlines up until the day he quit!

So Multi 22 means something completely different.

I have such a love/hate relationship with Lewis after 2011. But that drive in America means I’m not allowed to dislike him ever again. Incredible. It really should have been that Lewis v Fernando v Seb title […]

Yeh I think that was another good race, especially with Schumacher going off track when testing braking points behind the safety car and just showing how much of the intelligence of old was still there.
gavmaclean commented on the post, Top ten: Schumacher comeback moments 9 years, 7 months ago
Good list! It’s been a tough time defending Schumacher over the last few years. But F1 Fanatic has been a good source of very considered articles that do what many angry Schumi fan boys have had such difficulty […]

I’d say he’s been on form since Belgium and been outstanding in Singapore, Japan, South Korea, USA and Brazil. Also – in Italy, USA and Brazil he had to let Nando past. Certainly more promising than we’ve come to […]

These anti-Button comments are hilarious. The argument for Button not being any good on Sunday is “if it wasn’t for the safety car wiping out Button and Hulk’s 40 second lead then Hamilton would have left them for […]

Me too.
gavmaclean commented on the post, Kamui Kobayashi loses Sauber seat for 2013 9 years, 7 months ago
I agree to an extent. Don’t think Perez is better really, the Sauber dynamic is similar to Williams this season. Perez and Maldonado have grabbed the headlines, while their team-mates have been more consistent and […]

Poor guy. I miss the Grosjean of 6 months ago. His Silverstone drive was phenomenal and its clear he’s a potential race winner. Shame he’s the scapegoat for all bad driving now in F1 while previously Maldonado and […]

While I agree that Schumacher’s red is a bit of a signature these days, he’s not the example to bring up for helmet design consistency!
gavmaclean commented on the post, Safety call prompts DRS rules change for 2013 9 years, 7 months ago
The strategy on gear ratios was possibly the only other “interesting” thing about the DRS.
Ban DRS and give Pirelli a little kick again and that’s all the excitement we need.

Hence my use of the word “hope”
gavmaclean commented on the post, Title battle may be a damp squib – Webber 9 years, 7 months ago
I sort of hope Kobayashi is in the mix considering the chat from Slim. But I heard it was more than likely between Sutil or Alguersauri? Far too many potentially good drivers being put out last couple of years.

Valencia 2010 too when Webber crashed and Hamilton overtook the safety car, but was able to get away with it while the stewards dithered.
gavmaclean commented on the post, Hamilton: Vettel "luckiest driver in F1" after podium 9 years, 7 months ago
It’s not really unfair if we’re honest. Vettel has lost a Valenica win and Italy points anyway to failures and the 2010 title went to the last race simply because of Vettel’s troubles in Bahrain, Australia and […]

In fairness to Vettel, he does seem to drop the odd f bomb on BBC in the past. Not particularly fussed about swearing, but clearly Kimi and Mark are the only ones that are excellent swearers.
