GeordiePorker commented on the post, F1 should hand out refunds, not points, after one-lap 'race' at Spa 9 months ago
Completely agree, F1/FIA were stumped yesterday by their own rules… Main point is that they need to learn from other series like the WEC.
I’m conflicted…I love George Russell getting points for Williams, […]

Re-watch the race and see how difficult it was for Bottas to pass the Ferrari-powered cars compared to how quickly Raikkonen and Vettel got past. One of the Haas cars moved over like it was being lapped!
I […]
GeordiePorker commented on the post, How a secret Mercedes engine mode helped pressure Vettel into a race-ending puncture 4 years, 6 months ago
Whilst cost concerns must be the key driver for the new engine regs, this story is the main thing wrong with the current regs. I believe in the new regs every team should have access to equal performance from the […]
GeordiePorker commented on the post, Should Mercedes or Ferrari give Red Bull engines? 6 years, 7 months ago
As with the majority of the vote, I don’t think Ferrari or Mercedes should supply Red Bull. I will be gutted to see 4 cars leave the grid (if that’s what happens), but where is the incentive for either […]
GeordiePorker commented on the post, Fuel-saving in F1 'much greater than before' 6 years, 11 months ago
There’s a lot in this I agree with, forced parity does bring the driver skill much more to the fore.
But I can’t help but think the easiest solution to this problem is a far simpler set of rules. Such as […]
GeordiePorker commented on the post, Mercedes 'in a different category' but expect an intriguing race behind them 7 years, 2 months ago
I agree, I am certain the FIA has a process to ensure the engines are the same, so no conspiracy theory, but his comments read as though he’s thinking “where the hell is that 1.3s?!”
Great job by Merc again…
GeordiePorker commented on the post, McLaren criticised over delay in driver decision 7 years, 5 months ago
I’m not convinced it is politics to be honest.
The only logical explanation for McLaren not having made a decision already is that they can’t afford the driver they want. If it really was 50/50 between the 2 […]

By the same logic I’ve given DOTW to Hamilton in the past, Rosberg beat his teammate in EVERY session and won…faultless.
To add to this, the pressure he’s under at the moment…no win since Germany, Hamilton […]

Very tough to choose. Nobody stood out. Hamilton was good, possibly best because he stayed clean all through the weekend. But was he stretched? No.
Rosberg didn’t have it on Saturday, screwed up on the […]
GeordiePorker commented on the post, "Nothing being done" to stop teams dropping out 7 years, 8 months ago
Running an F1 team shouldn’t be “easy”, but that doesn’t mean things are working well at the moment!
My issue is how much FOM takes from the earnings. The financial model is terrible…the tracks pay for the […]
GeordiePorker commented on the post, Vote for 2014 Singapore GP Driver of the Weekend 7 years, 8 months ago
Had to go for Hamilton. Pole, Fastest Lap and Win. What more needs to be said? Well, OK – I know he was cruising and had no pressure, but when he was under pressure after the Safety Car he delivered some very […]

@anilsk2013 I know! Like my post said, I don’t support it, but you can’t deny that races get more interesting when something unpredictable* happens. I’d just prefer it if they were just that – […]
GeordiePorker commented on the post, Hamilton takes points lead after Rosberg drops out 7 years, 8 months ago
Really? I didn’t see much evidence of that myself, but if that was the Merc cantering (as opposed to a full-on Qualifying gallop) then it’s even quicker than I thought!
And all this at a track where the Red […]
GeordiePorker commented on the post, Hamilton takes points lead after Rosberg drops out 7 years, 8 months ago
I’m concerned by Vettel to be truthful. I found it very difficult to like him at the start, but he’s grown on me, not just this season, but for a couple of years. I worry though, that someone who has won 4 WDCs […]

Yup…can’t wait for the next round :)

That someone found out about their plot and they’ve had to even the score! ;)
(And please: nobody start and argument…that was a joke!)
GeordiePorker commented on the post, Hamilton takes points lead after Rosberg drops out 7 years, 8 months ago
Whilst I can’t argue, the same was true in reverse in Australia – that wouldn’t have been an easy victory for Rosberg. Best thing is we’ve now got an almighty scrap for the WDC and the clock has pretty much been […]

Gave it an 8 for the excitement after the Safety Car. Stunning driving by Hamilton to generate almost a pit-stop in about 20 laps! This kind racing makes you understand why Ecclestone wants his “fake rain” and the […]
GeordiePorker commented on the post, Should Raikkonen get penalty for Silverstone crash? 7 years, 10 months ago
@craig-o I know exactly what you mean. A race ban would be ridiculous because in some ways he was unlucky with the way the track threw him into a spin. But to take your logic a step further, this is exactly why […]

Had to be SV. Great recovery drive an really got the best from the car.
Honourable mention to Lewis for getting a win his car setup didn’t really deserve, and to Bottas for a good clean drive in the Williams.
