I’ll miss it, it’s unique and spectacular to watch.

glynh commented on the post, Adding a new F1 team is "just risk, no benefit" – Steiner 3 months, 2 weeks ago
There’s no risk to fans, only a good chance of benefits…

glynh commented on the post, Saudi Arabian GP to stay at Jeddah until 2027 as work on Qiddiya begins 4 months, 1 week ago
This is good news for me. One of the best new tracks in a long time so I’ll be sad to see it go.

glynh commented on the post, The case for changing F1's penalty points system as Gasly nears ban 5 months, 3 weeks ago
The only change I would make is for a ban to take place it has to be a 3 point plus penalty. That way you still put yourself at risk by getting minor penalties but don’t get a ban for a minor infringement.

glynh commented on the post, Corner tightened at Jeddah circuit in package of changes to improve safety 6 months ago
Glad they’re making small changes to improve safety. This is my favourite track to join the calendar in a long time so fingers crossed they keep it safe while maintaining the challenge of high speed and low run off.

glynh commented on the post, Rate the race: 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 6 months, 1 week ago
7. Lots of good overtakes and racing and some tension for the podium but overall nothing memorable.

glynh commented on the post, Rate the race: 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix 6 months, 2 weeks ago
10. I know it was won from pole and I would have preferred to see no penalty for Verstappen but other than that there was action all through and it was never sure who was going to win or get any of the […]

glynh commented on the post, Was Verstappen's penalty for Hamilton collision correct? 6 months, 2 weeks ago
Definitely wrong decision. If I was steward I would have said racing incident. I thought Hamilton should have left space if anything but not much in it.

glynh commented on the post, Red Bull exceeded F1's $145m budget cap during 2021 season – FIA 7 months, 3 weeks ago
@x303 That’s what I said, they’re all doing it. Red Bull are just the ones to get caught. There’s no good and bad guys in F1, just thousands of people exploiting every loophole on and off track as they have since […]

glynh commented on the post, Red Bull exceeded F1's $145m budget cap during 2021 season – FIA 7 months, 3 weeks ago
The cynic in me says they’ll get 20 points deducted for this season so it sets a precedent but doesn’t change anything. I honestly can’t see the FIA coming down hard when they didn’t have the common sense to set […]

glynh commented on the post, Monaco Grand Prix signs deal to stay on F1 calendar until 2025 8 months, 1 week ago
Great news to see Monaco staying, there’s some newer street circuits that are better in other ways but nothing compares to the challenge and spectacle of the Monaco
On a side note I bet everyone’s already fed […]

glynh commented on the post, How F1's Drive to Survive phenomenon was born – once the teams were won over 8 months, 2 weeks ago
I think they said before that it refers to the teams rather than the drivers. Surviving in F1 is the aim rather than literally.

glynh commented on the post, Rate the race: 2022 Italian Grand Prix 8 months, 3 weeks ago
6. An interested start, with different strategies and Sainz pushing as well as Verstappen but ultimately it faded out and the safety car ending was obviously disappointing even if it was probably the fairest end.

glynh commented on the post, F1 needs less practice, more points-paying sessions at race weekends – Domenicali 9 months, 1 week ago
This makes no sense. F1 drivers barely get any practice as it is, simulators just aren’t the same.
It’s like telling football players that they can’t touch a ball between matches…

glynh commented on the post, Las Vegas race date leaked, indicating race start times outside USA 9 months, 3 weeks ago
This seems like a stupid time for a race. Obviously it’s bad for European viewers but it’s also too late for a percentage of US viewers. 10-midnight is too late for families and East coast viewers are going to […]

glynh commented on the post, Russell grabs first F1 pole from Ferraris as car trouble leaves Verstappen tenth 10 months ago
A few weekends like this (I’m aware it’s not over) and the constructors championship, maybe even the drivers, might not be as forgone as it’s been looking.

glynh commented on the post, Ferrari defend "proper and right" decision to pit Sainz after he passed Perez 10 months, 1 week ago
I think the decision was 50/50 and none of us have the information to know which way to go but the issue was their indecisiveness. They should have boxed before being held up by Perez or not and definitely not […]

glynh commented on the post, F1 "slow" to adopt sustainable fuel says Vettel after latest demo run 10 months, 1 week ago
I think F1 are looking for road relevant fuel. And while biofuel is technically sustainable we could never produce enough to powered every car when the land is needed for food/forestry so they’re probably holding […]
