I was very close to going for Norris but Russell was more impressive for me. He had a spectacular qualifying and was so close to getting in the points with a great defence against Alonso.

Have to agree, I much prefer races with multiple stops. As long as they drop off consistently I like the softer tyres.

7. Brilliant moves from everyone at the start and end but not the best in the middle. Lost one point for the ridiculous penalties for when they were just racing.

7. I was thinking 6 but there were a lot of good overtakes and it was really only 1st and 2nd without action. Just a shame that there was nothing memorable.

The fast pit stops are amazing to watch and something everyone can appreciate the skill of. This is going to take away another bit of entertainment.

9. A classic race full of tension and good overtakes for the lead and all the way down the field.

10. Overtakes, crashes, unpredictability and lots of talking points. A great result for the podium and championship from a racing point of view as well.

This seems very unfair on Latifi because of an error from his team. He was clearly told to stay out and in that sort of situation he has to listen to his team.

I’m glad it worked out for Red Bull, not that Hamilton was out, but that they did the decent thing calling for a red flag and losing a guaranteed win for Perez and came out ok in the end.

That sums it up for me, not great racing but very tense with the strategy and cars will always look spectacular around Monaco.

Or maybe it’s nothing to do with Hamilton and people enjoy watching a mixed up podium and cars lapping close to the barriers around Monaco…

I don’t think it would make any sense for FE to partner with F1. Not only are the tracks too different but they would only ever be seen as another support event.

Well said @f1frog Monaco is a unique challenge and one of F1s most important races.

That was a brilliant race, I’ll always be an F1 fan first but watching so much close racing round Monaco was really entertaining.

It’s because there’s supposed to be energy management in FE and that’s their attempt to make it fair for those who who start energy saving early and would otherwise lose out under a safety car.
