It was very disappointing and ruined the event for us. It’s hard to believe the F1 allow it and renewed the agreement with Monza. We were at Spa the week before and they did not allow smoking in the grandstands at least but smoking was allowed everywhere else.

How strange, in most public events in EU that I’ve been in smoking was not allowed…

After attending the race I can unfortunately confirm smoking is allowed anywhere inside the event (other than the pit lane) including the grand stands. 4 cigarette smokers in front of us and a cigar smoker next to us. Unbelievable.

I think it’s banned.

Smoking in Italy has been banned in public places including bars, restaurants, discotheques and offices since 2005. … Italy was the 4th European country to introduce a smoking ban in public places.
