It’s easy to say Hamilton dominated the weekend, because in no uncertain terms, he did. He didn’t have to slug it out, because he had enough pace within himself to constantly pull out the gaps he needed. He led […]

He didn’t lose a few seconds, more like a few tenths, and he pulled those back in the next couple of corners anyway.

I don’t see that happening, personally, but each to their own.

@karter22 Why would Nico start winning as a result of Lewis signing a new contract with Mercedes?

Nico Rosberg. Ensured that Lewis was always chasing, but never quite ablse to get ahead by being inch perfect from P1 through to the race. Lewis was, again, faster in the race, but it’s who crosses the line first that counts.

@klon How disgustingly unsporting. If karma exists, both will be able to race to the end and the right one will be crowned champion. Try not to forget that Hamilton has already had one more race retirement than […]

@Mashiat I’ll be voting for him. He topped every session and survived the pressure from Lewis admirably. I still don’t like him, but I’m more than willing to ackowledge his performance this weekend.

@kroonracing Hamilton was referring to just the race, and there’s plenty if evidence to back up his claim. Rosberg was unable to pull out of DRS, and had a 7.5 seconmd advantage wiped out in one stint, when both […]

@kingshark Well, Hamilton is still great/a beast at qualifying, that’s not a myth at all. It’s just that he can no longer be considered the absolute best. It’s worth noting that Hamilton came out on top in the […]
James Wynne commented on the post, Another close Driver of the Weekend win for Hamilton 7 years, 9 months ago
This was a difficult one to vote for, as none of the most impressive drivers over the weekend were without fault, however small. Hamilton was out qualified, Ricciardo fudged the start, Massa was out qualified, […]

@xtwl Well, that’s understandable, as I came across a bit strong there. But your earlier comment basically dismissing Hamilton’s talent in comparison to Alonso’s kind of bothered me in much the same way. I guess […]

@xtwl And a car that was for four years the best on the grid. Yes, his achievements during that period were extremely impressive, and he is definitely one of the best drivers on the grid, but given the general […]

@strontium As has Lewis Hamilton.
James Wynne commented on the post, Alonso: 2014 campaign "probably my best season" 7 years, 9 months ago
@xtwl And what makes your assertion that Alonso is so much better than Lewis any more credible that others’ belief that things are pretty equal between them? Lewis was a match for Alonso in his rookie year (yes, […]

Please tell me you’re joking…

That’s an absurd assessment, sorry. Hamilton and Rosberg are a very clear cut above Montoya and Ralf Schumacher.
James Wynne commented on the post, 'I wish you could see Rosberg's data' – Hamilton 8 years, 2 months ago
As usual, Hamilton’s detractors are already rubbishing his insinuation that there was foul play, but, to be honest, I don’t think we need to see the data. The TV footage is fairly conclusive, as far as I’m […]

It has to be Bianchi. He once again demonstrated his crushing superiority in qualifying over Chilton, which hasn’t been quite as evident as last year in this early part of the season. He then drove a supremely […]
