Agreed. Give us Laguna Seca!
hufggfg commented on the post, Alonso down one engine after Jeddah retirement 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I don’t really understand why they do it that way. I think a better rule would be:
An engine manufacturer can spend any amount they like on development, but then they have to “sell” the engine to any team that […]

Max’s own side wake that caused Hamilton’s understeer.
Whether you’re a Max or Lewis fan, I think we can all appreciate the comedy of this statement. By the same logic, crashing into someone you get a tow fro […]

FINALLY – it’s been clear to me that this should have been the rule for ages. I have no idea why it’s taken so long to simplify it.
hufggfg commented on the post, F2 bosses would "respect" drivers missing races over ethical concerns 2 months, 2 weeks ago
Exactly this. It’s a total joke of a thing to say by F2 bosses. Trying to put the issue onto a load of teenagers who are vying for every possible point.
Rather than “respect their decision” if they said “if […]

Now, now, now, that’s not quite right is it.
It’s more “We’ll take cash from anyone we’re allowed to, and having taken their cash we will publicly defend them. We have no morals.”
hufggfg commented on the post, FIA urged to block Russian competitors from races over Ukraine invasion 2 months, 2 weeks ago
My personal view is the question should not be “should the FIA ban all Russian drivers” and really should be “should the FIA ban all drivers who have links to Russian oligarchs”. There’s a big difference between […]

There is a big difference between “in a survey, people who reported that they have a plant-based diet also on average reported that they had less severe COVID symptoms” and “going vegan lowers COVID risk” due to a […]
hufggfg commented on the post, Prost 'will quit F1' if reverse grid races are introduced 8 months ago
I very much agree with a huge amount of what you’re saying here. I’m hopeful that the 2022 regs will make a big difference to the ability of cars to follow each other closely and overtake. I agree with you tha […]
hufggfg commented on the post, Prost 'will quit F1' if reverse grid races are introduced 8 months ago
Yes, but the Sprint Race would still be a minor part of the weekend, with minor points. Effectively you’re just handicapping everyone in accordance with their championship position, AND you’re introducing a reward […]
hufggfg commented on the post, Prost 'will quit F1' if reverse grid races are introduced 8 months ago
Yes that’s a good point.
I was thinking of a shorter race so that it didn’t require any pit stops to ensure that overtaking was done on track, rather than in pit-stop strategy, but it’s probably a balance to […]
hufggfg commented on the post, Prost 'will quit F1' if reverse grid races are introduced 8 months ago
I really don’t understand this “punishes success” arguement.
I mean, I get that if you reverse the Quali grid and then use the the Sprint finish to start the GP that would be utterly ridiculous (because teams […]
hufggfg commented on the post, Prost 'will quit F1' if reverse grid races are introduced 8 months ago
In fact, just to bring a bit of tradition in to it, I’d suggest the sprint race uses the old 10/8/6/5/4/3/2/1 points allocation :)
hufggfg commented on the post, Prost 'will quit F1' if reverse grid races are introduced 8 months ago
Well, I totally disagree with Prost, and seemingly most of the people here…
We need to understand that the best team has to win because it’s the best, because it’s the spirit and the aim of Formula 1. […]
hufggfg commented on the post, Drivers suggest sprint qualifying format changes after processional second race 8 months ago
I just don’t understand why people think that… Why would it be a joke? Why would it be a script? It would be a race like any other, but it would force drivers to overtake in order to be well placed. It will show […]
hufggfg commented on the post, Drivers suggest sprint qualifying format changes after processional second race 8 months ago
I LOVE the idea of a reverse championship grid for the sprint race (with the sprint race maybe having 1/2 or 1/3 points). I really don’t understand why anyone other than the leading teams don’t want it. It has […]
hufggfg commented on the post, Red Bull were advised Perez should let Leclerc past – Masi 8 months ago
As a business (as all the teams are) it’s the right approach, unless the stewards are going to penalise you for it.
Personally, I would welcome a rule that said something along the lines of “acting in a man […]
hufggfg commented on the post, Why Verstappen's grid penalty differed from Hamilton's Silverstone sanction 8 months, 1 week ago
I think you have a fair point on consequences (ie they clearly do get considered). Personally, I actually think they should be considered MORE.
One of the thing that feels unfair when looking at the Silverstone […]
