    But what’s up with that *perfectionism* from Mclaren, eh? Ron Dennis’ *attention to detail*? For instance the MP4-12C..

    Is “perfection” and “attention to detail” a big Mclaren marketing gimmick, for the public? So there’s nothing in it – because if they were perfect then this should not happen!

    Mclaren delay is disgusting, from Derek Warwick; http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/formula1/30346965

    Hoooray for that one @Euro Brun! Monza the Cisalpine (maybe Milanese) Grand Prix, and Mugello the (proper one) Italian GP. =)

    And still we can to some extent count in Imola, even if it’s an old one and it has pretty bad facilities. Although it’s scenery is as great as Mugellos.

    ” F1 has been shooting itself in the foot for some time now ”

    How exactly?

    Imo, it’s almost a too serious competitor to Formula 1.

    Then how can Button be so light – relatively speaking. I mean the guys is a good 6ft tall, that’s very tall for a modern F1 driver.’

    Mine is just Gilles Villeneuve – as you can see. Absolutely adored the combo Gilles-Ferrari, so yes I’m both a Tifosi _and_ a fan of their drivers. Some much more than others, such as Gilles, Fernando, and to some extent Michael ad Kimi.

    @ Kingshark;

    wasn’t it a bit opposite ?; that the MP4-23 was slower but more relable than the F2008, but on the other hand that MP4-22 was faster in qualifyings and early laps _and_ more reliale compared to the F2007?

    In other words, F2007 was a long distance racer, it was certainly very easy on its tires wasn’t it? I’ve watched 2007-2008 closely and I seem to remember that F2007 and MP4-22 were two very different constructions, but that next years cars were much closer to each other in design and construction generally speaking (for instance that the F2008 was slightly superior to the MP4-23 in contrast to 2007 were MP4-22 triumphed F2007 on slow-corner circuits, in race starts, plus also reliablity)

    Yeah the statistics are no doubt evident, but still wasn’t MP4-22 usually a little bit faster in qualifying-mode specially on slow circuits? You know I remember (lets say) Monaco 2007 still quite well ;-)

    So all in all, Ferrari isn’t the strongest engine but the most reliable, somewhere between the Merc and the Renault, right? Then you add on that ALO and RAI as drivers. Sounds like a possible constructors champion #2014 to me, don’t you guys think`?
