@krxx My mistake, that should read 374pts and 373pts.
James commented on the post, The four slow starts which cost Hamilton dearly 6 years, 3 months ago
Realistically, Rosberg only needs a win and two 2nd places (and a DNF) to win the title. This would give him a further 61pts, and Hamilton would only be able to get 93pts from the final four races due to that one […]

I’m not too sure about this one, but is this the first race where the winner switched from full wet tyres to dry tyres, without using the intermediate tyres? I was trying to think of another example of this, but […]

I voted for Marcus Ericsson. I’d say it was probably his strongest race weekend of the season, whilst being under the radar. His 3-place grid penalty was deserved, but just happened to be behind another car on an […]

I imagine this would result in disqualification for Hamilton, seeing as other technical infringements in the past have lead to disqualification. For example, Ricciardo in Australia 2014 over the fuel-flow limit or […]

The Mercedes drivers didn’t lead a single lap of the race, the first time that this has occurred since the 2013 Brazilian GP.

I’m giving this race a 9/10. It’s easily the best race of the season so far, and it’s one of those races that’ll be looked back upon in years to come. Hungary might just produce the best race of the season for two […]

My vote goes to Daniil Kvyat. He qualified ahead of his teammate and kept pace with the Ferraris in the race. A spin, combined with pitting a lap later than Vettel when it was wet, prevented him from almost taking […]

8/10 for me. Probably the best race of the season so far. A great start for the two Williams kept the race at the front alive for the majority of the race, but the lack of cars running when the rain came made the […]

My vote goes to Max Verstappen. To qualify 7th and finish 8th in a Renault-powered car on a power track is a superb effort. Hulkenberg gets a special mention too for his efforts.

It’s hard to tell how Hamilton and Rosberg would’ve done on a ‘normal’ 3-stop strategy. By stopping at least 4-5 laps earlier than they would’ve done, it meant they had to do those extra laps on worn tyres. It […]

1. Other than Mercedes, which teams will win races this year? (Red Bull)
2. Who will score more points: Sebastian Vettel or Daniil Kvyat? (Sebastian Vettel)
3. What will be McLaren’s best result? (4th)
4. In […]James commented on the post, Caption Competition 68: Sebastian Vettel 8 years ago

In order of preference, the BBC should choose:
Britain (obvious reason)
Abu Dhabi (final race, title decider etc…)
Belgium (always a popular one)
Brazil (decent race + possible title decider)
Canada (one of the best races + good viewing time)
Mexico (new race + possible title decider)
USA (similar to Canada)
