I did vote for Russell, solely because it is driver of the Weekend and no doubt Russell did better over the whole weekend.
Driver of the day though, 100% is Perez

2 things to consider.
1) The rule didn’t exist then.
Yes, that’s the whole point of COTD, if this rule had been in place then, we wouldn’t have had that experience of Winklehock running around at the front.

Shouldn’t this be Renault?

The rules should definitely be changed.
Personally I can’t stand Vettel and his attitude, and what he did was immensely immature.
However, I fail to see the point of weighing a car that has not posted a lap […]
jsw11984 commented on the post, Four wins, no poles: Verstappen equals an unusual record 3 years, 3 months ago
@colinchapman I think what actually has happened is that in order for Verstappen to win one of two things must happen.
1) Kyvat is demoted
2) Both Mercedes retire
Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

What i’d love to see is Alonso come down and do the Bathurst 100.
Zak Brown has partial ownership of one of the teams, Walkinshaw Andretti United and I think it must be something that he’d like to see happen in […]
jsw11984 commented on the post, Bottas "so hungry for the win" after two near-misses 3 years, 6 months ago
Something that I think could be looked at is the Australian Supercars approach, which is to have refuelling, but also have a minimum fuel dump.
i.e During the race you must add 100L of fuel to your fuel tank, […]

It’s not so much seeing the car, but knowing if they are on a fast lap or not. No way of seeing that in the mirrors

It’s a public holiday on Monday in New Zealand next weekend, we’ll be fine
I would think a tie for the title should be decided the same way that a tie for qualifying is decided, whoever set the time/win first wins it.
So if the championship ended today, I would crown Vettel as the champion since he won the first race.
Sad news from New Zealand today, Chris Amon died at the age of 73 from cancer at Rotorua Hospital this morning, Wednesday 3rd August.
Chris was most well known for winning the 24 Hrs of Le Mans in a Ford GT alongside Bruce McLaren with fellow kiwi & F1 driver Denny Hulme coming 2nd in another Ford GT.
He also competed in F1 on a semi casual…[Read more]
jsw11984 commented on the post, Red Bulls, Force Indias, Bottas keep positions despite 107% breach 5 years, 2 months ago
The 107% rule is primarily for safety reasons. It exists to enable stewards to exclude dangerously slow cars.
This was not the case, as all cars had met the said criteria during practise and therefore it was […]

I’m looking at heading over for the 2017 race from NZ.
I’ve been to the Australian Grand Prix twice and have decided that next year I should go for something a bit further afield and tie in bit of an extended holiday at the time an extra few days either side kind of thing.
One thing I was wondering is about the languages. I know Montreal is in…[Read more]
