CashNotClass commented on the post, Vasseur confirmed as Binotto's replacement at Ferrari 3 months, 1 week ago
@jeanrien They actually have one of the best track records. In the last 10 years, they’ve finished 2nd five times, 3rd three times, 4th once and also one – by their standards – dismal 6th in 2020 (and we all know […]

Todfod commented on the post, Binotto's exit leaves Montezemolo concerned about situation at Ferrari 3 months, 2 weeks ago
I actually believe that if they kept Binotto as team principal for one more season, that’s a decision that is just 2 laps late. They sacked him at the right time, although the smarter option would […]

Thanks @jeanrien, just checked, 90% right. For some crazy reason I went for Zhou Guanyu v. Bottas.

Yeah, well said there @jeanrien, I agree.
Todfod commented on the post, Verstappen doesn't get the credit he deserves for his achievements – Horner 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Agree completely. It’s similar to the point I was trying to make. Max has driven like a champ for the past 2 seasons. The only shadow cast around these championships is the cost cap and red bulls […]
BasCB commented on the post, Red Bull exceeded F1's $145m budget cap during 2021 season – FIA 5 months, 2 weeks ago
Ah, that would be a “fun” one @jeanrien. Yeah, I am not keeping my hopes up the FIA will want to rock the boat and be firm on this.
wsrgo commented on the post, 2022 Singapore Grand Prix driver ratings 5 months, 3 weeks ago
@jeanrien I feel it artificially reduces the field spread, due to how conservative the ratings are. The variance in performance makes the distribution almost uniform rather than normal, which granted, is not that […]

@jeanrien No, because the prize money is more relevant & valuable.
BasCB commented on the post, No Ferrari staff changes insists Binotto as Rosberg calls them 'worse than F3 teams' 6 months, 3 weeks ago
Yes, when there is a clear choice to just go for one of the drivers, and then the teams uses both cars to achieve that, it can work really well both for the team and for the lead driver @jeanrien. Both Red Bull […]
BasCB commented on the post, No Ferrari staff changes insists Binotto as Rosberg calls them 'worse than F3 teams' 6 months, 3 weeks ago
I don’t actually think they have gotten worse in that aspect @jeanrien. Ferrari hasn’t been good at strategy probably since about 2007 – they already made some baffling choices then. And again in 2008 some of […]
BasCB commented on the post, Albon says his penalty points are 'undeserved' but his track record gives cause for concern 8 months, 1 week ago
Ha, that is so true @jeanrien!
I liked how Norris mentioned in an interview after the Austrian race (on F1TV) that while he felt it was a solid race, his own off track moments probably cost him a position.
BasCB commented on the post, Russell urges return to single race director to address lack of "accountability" 8 months, 2 weeks ago
Good point there @jeanrien. It defenitely needs pictures and possibly even video to make cases really clear and from many angles to make it clear cut what the idea is.

@jeanrien he did leave a space though ;) But I agree, it is worth a penalty. Just wished they would be more consistent at it. Either allow weaving or disallow it.
slowmo commented on the post, Rival teams exaggerating concerns over porpoising to get rules break – Horner 9 months, 2 weeks ago
@jeanrien I agree that Ferrari and Red Bull shouldn’t be penalised for coming off best with the regulation change but it’s not unreasonable to point out that both Ferrari and Red Bull made gains in the engine […]
David BR commented on the post, Transcript: How Red Bull seized a win that 'Ferrari looked like they had in the bag' 9 months, 3 weeks ago
@jeanrien We kind of saw that a few Monacos back when everyone spent virtually the entire ‘race’ in a slow train preserving tyres.
Matthijs commented on the post, 'Longer-term we'd very much like to phase out DRS if we can' 11 months ago
@jeanrien I agree. As much as I fundamentally dislike DRS as the wrong fix for a problem, I feel that in some cases DRS adds to the exitement, as long as the defending driver is not helpless.
