@jerseyf1 Very insightful analysis. Thanks for that.
It tells us that teams and cars are key. Look for the exceptional driver among those who have performed respectably well in different teams and in different […]
@jerseyf1 True about the integration thing and I don’t think anyone is expecting them to start beating Mercedes and fighting for the WDC, but I think for now they just want to get into the top 4 and have some c […]

@jerseyf1 Ferrari do require a better second driver, absolutely. However the Mercedes was rarely the second fastest car last year. Difficult to set up for the first few races of course, but still very fast when […]

@jerseyf1 Well, it’s not too surprising really, since Mercedes’ policy in 2014-2016 when it was only a two horse race that the car in front would pit first, meaning that they almost never led every lap of the race.

@jerseyf1 That’s a possibility, certainly, and I’d like to take your optimistic point of view, however I feel the pessimistic view is the most probable outcome. I doubt there will be a freeing up of the […]
True @jerseyf1 hadn’t thought about that. Still reckon stopping early is preferable to stopping late in terms of nullifying potential SC disadvantage, but I’m not so sure now. Would be interested to hear what […]
