Or in the case of Brazil, going the other direction and allowing the stewards to look the other way and and obvious and egregious penalty.
+1000! Couldn’t agree more. :)
I’ll go halfway on that one. As much as I vehemently dislike his driving style, I think Max as a deserving champion in 2021. I’ll disagree on “rightful”. All this season when I see his car on track there is […]
+1 I had temporarily forgotten about Brazil. That and Spa were just as problematic for me as Abu Dhabi in terms of race legitimacy.
Which IMO is as it should be and the first step toward correcting the problems. IMO the farce of the Spa non-race was just as bad if not worse and was a part of the reason 2021 will always have an ‘*’ for me. […]

It’s hard to see in some of the views, but there is a (black) vertical support directly beneath the mirror going down to the sidepod.
Don’t forget Spa. That farce of a non-race that should never have been run but was “for the sake of the show” gave Verstappen an additional “win” meaning he had one more than Lewis.
I voted strongly agree, but do still have a problem with an entire “race” run under a safety car.
+100 on all these points they are the top of my personal list on things that are ruining the sport. Just replacing Massi wouldn’t necessarily fix any of them.

IMO this is very relevant and constructive post and gets to the heart of why I see the F1 “sport” heading in the wrong direction. A game, sport, or any kind of storyline stops becoming entertaining to me if […]
+2!!! They have created a monster and now added support and momentum for heading the wrong way even faster. If it weren’t for an interest in seeing the new spec cars I probably wouldn’t watch next season. I may […]
The new number on Max’s car wouldn’t bother me as much if it also were required to include the Asterix. ;)
As I said in a different thread, I really hope Red Bull gets it wrong with the new regulations and […]
Yep. If they can’t figure out how to transparently and consistently apply some rulebook then I’ll find some other use for my time. Which is unfortunate since I was really looking forward to seeing what the teams […]

I think that’s a really important question. Rephrased a bit, what would he do to get the sport back to following a consistent set of rules. For example, track limits or dive-bombing driver tactics?
Masi shouldn’t be leaving because he was artificially “sacrificed”. He should be fired for incompetence and what he has allowed to happen to the “sport’.
+1. Lots of TW hate here attacking him for telling it like it is. CH would have done the same or worse.
Unless Masi goes and other big changes are implemented then we can look forward to more seasons like […]
+1 IMO awarding the win and points for the Spa non-race was just as bad as the “manipulated” ending of the final event. I can’t really call it a race either since the result was artificially created.
