@jmwalley Thanks for clarifying.
@jmwalley The problem is “Merced[e]s sell the IP for the first design to Racing Point”. That is a transfer of “the exclusive right to use the listed part”. Such an action is forbidden “so long as it [Mercedes (the […]
HR commented on the post, Ferrari wade into Racing Point legality row with letter to F1 and FIA 1 year, 2 months ago
@jmwalley I think that Dale’s point is that whether Mercedes want to sell the IP or not, they’re actually forbidden from doing so with the brake ducts. Whether that is retrospective or not is then the question. I […]

Thanks! @jmwalley Just realized it was my browser failing to show the video on that page. TBH the Red Bull guys looked more annoyed and confused than guilty. It would seem bizarre to blatantly break the regulations like that.

Thanks @jmwalley for this thorough explanation, it seems very reasonable and understandable now why Kvyat didn’t knee. And it was nice from him to take the other initiatives to show support.
Jere commented on the post, Williams didn't want to distract Latifi from F2 campaign with early deal 1 year, 10 months ago
@jmwalley While I get what you’re meaning, I’ll stick with my point. Zandvoort’s banked final-corner doesn’t look like it could necessarily be taken flat-out with DRS-activated when looking at the images. Better […]

GongTong commented on the post, RaceFans is the new name for F1 Fanatic – here's why 3 years, 8 months ago
@jmwalley I agree. I’ve been coming on here as long as I can remember. Nowadays, as I have less time to devote to reading motorsport news it’s the ONLY place I come. It’s nice that the effort was made to let us in […]

@jmwalley You’re right about that but what is wrong with that? I’ll take that over “false modesty” any day. They are superstars and they get frustrated when 1 driver passes them let alone several.

Maldonado has speed and passion, but the aggresiveness of his attitude bothers me
That is the exact thing why Hulk is favorite .
@jmwalley There’s a bit on that here:
I would prefer to see each of these gimmicks tested independently of each other
Interesting idea indeed!
My only concern with removing DRS is a midfield car’s dirty air messing up the race (for a […]
@jmwalley every day of the week I’d take solely the tyres: even though I think they’re not perfect, at least they are the same for everyone. DRS is only available to a chasing driver, which makes it far more […]

I think its a sign in the foreground. Notice the details and seams are highly details, indicating it is closer to the camera, but the shadow extending right is very deceiving.
Max Jacobson commented on the post, Who had the fastest car? Performance data analysed 8 years, 11 months ago
@jmwalley – I think that would be a good way to represent how the team performed as a constructor on average but it may also have the effect of skewing the driver’s performances: as you and others have alluded to, […]
@jmwalley the fact you had seats for the race is irrelevant, on tv there were time gaps so it was easier to tell how close hamilton was to vettel for me watching the race. Im not saying that drs is bad, just that […]
