John Beak commented on the post, Bolukbasi to miss another Formula 2 round after breaking rib 3 months, 4 weeks ago
I was excited when I read the news that Bolukbasi was signed at such a high level feeder series. It’s exciting to see how drivers with esports background will do. But so far his campaign at Charouz has been […]
John Beak commented on the post, Should F1 and its teams lift the cap of 24 grands prix in a season? 4 months, 1 week ago
Oh no, I misclicked and accidentally voted the exact opposite of what I wanted.
When you rotate the layout by 180 degrees, it looks like a pig 🐖
John Beak commented on the post, Zhou's first F1 race "even better" than promise shown in testing 4 months, 3 weeks ago
I’ve noticed that between seasons media started writing Zhou’s names as “Zhou Guanyu” instead of “Guanyu Zhou”. Zhou is the surname, Guanyu is the given name. In Chinese names surname goes first. I wonder what […]
John Beak commented on the post, Is it time to let F1 drivers race on after catching Covid? 4 months, 3 weeks ago
No, I think it’s really irresponsible to be out there spreading the virus to less fit people such as team members, marshals, press, fans and locals the driver might run into. Even if you’re feeling fine, you still […]

Safe choice for Steiner having previously obtained that extra door from Mazepin.
I am enthusiastic about this remodel. Interesting how it matches most people’s converging suggestions. Looks like they fixed most of the glaring issues of the original layout. Now it actually looks like a flowing […]
Very insightful to have the map of management connections laid out like this in a few simple paragraphs. I always found it intriguing how everything in F1 is essentially run by a small group of interconnected […]
John Beak commented on the post, Ocon is Formula 1's third new winner in less than a year 1 year ago
Fernando’s laps in the lead after 7 years is actually the longest gap in F1 history, beating Checo’s record set between Austria 2014 a Turkey 2020.
This also puts Fernando ahead of Kimi in terms of longest […]

Is this a good timing to test whether an extra race in Argentina or South Africa would work?
John Beak commented on the post, Formula 1 upgrades official streaming service F1 TV Pro 1 year, 5 months ago
Excited to finally be able to legally watch F1 with my commentary of choice in my country, I’ve jumped onto the website and purchased myself a subscription without ever noticing the coupon. May F1 use that money […]
The move was reminiscent of Zanardi’s legendary Laguna Seca pass. Amazing but off track.
Conspiracy theorists believe to this day that the true reason Max was penalised was to avoid the awkward prospect of having […]
John Beak commented on the post, Track changes planned to improve racing in November's Australian GP 1 year, 6 months ago
Please use videogames first to test which layouts actually work before building the actual track.
John Beak commented on the post, Domenicali: F1 may shorten future calendars and rotate races 1 year, 6 months ago
I’ve been saying this for years. Shorten the calendar and rotate races. Good way to keep F1’s exclusivity without losing unique venues. Great to hear a similar idea from somebody in charge.
Tilke is your best choice what you want an “exciting” track. What about trying to design an exciting track instead?
Giving lapped drivers a free lap would give them an unfair advantage of having extra fuel to burn for the rest of the race.
This can be easily offset by adding a pre-defined number (different for each track) to […]
Has anyone else noticed that Red Bull’s car and Mongolian flag sport the exact same colour combination? Maybe they could do some kind of collab to make up for it.
Regarding CotD, changing aero/chassis strategy doesn’t make sense for Red Bull. Red Bull has always been about maximising potential. A peaky car fits that philosophy perfectly. It’s OK if only the best drivers can […]
