Very insightful to have the map of management connections laid out like this in a few simple paragraphs. I always found it intriguing how everything in F1 is essentially run by a small group of interconnected […]

Fernando’s laps in the lead after 7 years is actually the longest gap in F1 history, beating Checo’s record set between Austria 2014 a Turkey 2020.
This also puts Fernando ahead of Kimi in terms of longest […]

Is this a good timing to test whether an extra race in Argentina or South Africa would work?

Excited to finally be able to legally watch F1 with my commentary of choice in my country, I’ve jumped onto the website and purchased myself a subscription without ever noticing the coupon. May F1 use that money […]
The move was reminiscent of Zanardi’s legendary Laguna Seca pass. Amazing but off track.
Conspiracy theorists believe to this day that the true reason Max was penalised was to avoid the awkward prospect of having […]

Please use videogames first to test which layouts actually work before building the actual track.
John Beak commented on the post, Domenicali: F1 may shorten future calendars and rotate races 8 months, 1 week ago
I’ve been saying this for years. Shorten the calendar and rotate races. Good way to keep F1’s exclusivity without losing unique venues. Great to hear a similar idea from somebody in charge.
Tilke is your best choice what you want an “exciting” track. What about trying to design an exciting track instead?
Giving lapped drivers a free lap would give them an unfair advantage of having extra fuel to burn for the rest of the race.
This can be easily offset by adding a pre-defined number (different for each track) to […]
Has anyone else noticed that Red Bull’s car and Mongolian flag sport the exact same colour combination? Maybe they could do some kind of collab to make up for it.
Regarding CotD, changing aero/chassis strategy doesn’t make sense for Red Bull. Red Bull has always been about maximising potential. A peaky car fits that philosophy perfectly. It’s OK if only the best drivers can […]
That’s the right mindset. Pushing to the limit and being happy when you know you’ve left everything on the line. Results become irrelevant.

I’m torn on this one. My life philosophy is about finding the ultimate truth. You can always go deeper. F1, back in the heyday of unlimited testing, was like that. You wanted to understand your car, your driving, […]

Weren’t there rules in place that 1) a race must have 80 laps max and 2) a track may not have lap times under 1 minute?
Really glad to see F1 doing an experiment like this. Slightly shorter laps on some IndyCar […]
