@jonathan189 All the F1 tracks are safe nowadays. As we have seen in Canada last year when a marshall was killed and now in Suzuka, humans are the problem (not trained enough in the first case, bad procedures in […]
I somewhat agree with that, but how do you know that Red Bull have a better chassis than, say, Ferrari?
Ferrari were just as fast around Singapore, and Alonso was 3 tenths faster today around Suzuka.
Red Bull are currently unmatched regarding aero, although the effect on the team of Newey’s ‘step back’ remains to be seen.
This is a baseless claim. Mercedes dominated in circuits like Monaco and […]
@jonathan189 Not necessarily. Even if the Renault was on par with the Mercedes, Red Bull have lost a lot of back-room staff this year, most notably Adrian Newey taking a step back. I think things like this will […]
@jonathan189 – I like those ideas. Maybe we can have some VR, with random powerups bouncing up and down on the track. Drive through them for a boost – the kids (new viewers) would really get it. Adds a tactical […]
@jonathan189 I agree. For a sport so concerned about how it sounds and about how they can attract viewers, Formula 1 seems to be really forgiving when it comes to the looks of the cars. They look terrible, there’s […]
Exactly. It made for a bad read, and left a seriously sour taste in my mouth. Interesting point you make about Benson, @jonathan189. To me he has always been a bit sly in how he puts words on paper, which is […]
A point well elucidated. However, i disagree with your premise stating his comments were self aggrandising; and there is no misjudgement either. He was giving an interview and he pointed out how […]
I take it you have not done ANY kind of sport at competitive level? Because if you have, you would know that sportsmen generally model themselves along their heroes; imbibing the qualities they […]

As you mention @jonathan189, the tyres most focussed on top performance came on in the 1990s, and refueling made the races even more going full out in short spurts. Both of those came around mid 90s and stayed […]
@jonathan189 Of course, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be challenging or that it should be easy for people to cheat.
However I would like to add a feature allowing people to check their answers at the end.
