Doing 27 laps with a tyre that is supposed to last 40 is not taking a risk.

At least he didn’t lie about how the tyre was cut with debris, like he usually does.

lol, yeah right… Had it happened going uphill at Eau Rouge it could have ended in a huge crash, but that’s no reason to voice great concern.,. No, not at all…

It’s easy when you are in front with a dominant car that lets you manage your pace.
Or at least that’s what we constantly heard when Vettel was doing similar races in Red Bull.

With the new engine rules I’m not sure many teams will run more laps than needed. If anything they’ll probably nurse the engines as much as they can in my opinion.

Maybe Ferrari want primarly young drivers in the car so they can fit updated parts to the F138. Right now they need aero testing more than tyre testing.
