@js In Honda’s case, I think that the difference between Red Bull and McLaren is that RBR were/are working together with Honda and they provide details for chassis etc., while with McLaren they were developing the […]

Judging by Leclerc’s onboard lap footage, he has two moments of understeer and oversteer in turn 4 and 6 respectively in sector 1. He had a slight correction in turn 7 but he was pushing though as he was […]Tifoso1989 commented on the post, 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix grid 1 year, 9 months ago

How about Leclerc’s time in sector 2 ?wsrgo commented on the post, 2021 Azerbaijan Grand Prix grid 1 year, 9 months ago
@js I don’t know why he said it was a bad lap, he was purple in sector two, where a tow doesn’t help. Hamilton had a tow as well and got nowhere near that lap.

@js tyre management was always there, but was not an issue since refuelling was allowed… today most of the management comes from fuel management and engine endurance! not just tyre management…tyre management […]

@js The pace management has always been a part of F1 & isn’t even as big a factor today compared to how it was in the past when you had to manage tyres, brakes, gearboxes, engines, suspension & fuel.
There’s an […]
David BR commented on the post, Why Hamilton didn't get a penalty in Monaco – but Vettel did in Canada 3 years, 9 months ago
@js I think perhaps one possibility that has been overlooked is Charlie Whiting’s influence. I get the impression that he acted as a bit of a filter between events on track and the regulations (to be applied by s […]

@js, spot-on, big wings and crap tyres are the main culprits.
petebaldwin commented on the post, No more "hyper-soft"? Pirelli asked to change tyre names for 2019 4 years, 10 months ago
@js I think that’s the main issue – the stupid names where the “soft” compound is actually one of the hardest…..
Perhaps the best solution is to just rename all of them? Soft-A, Soft-B, Medium-A and so on. […]

@js You could flip it around and say “Do you think people are that stupid that they can’t remember which compound is the soft, medium and hard option for the weekend?”
For me, this is a good decision because […]

@JS That’s a very good comment.
I also think there is too much hullabaloo around this incident and I really hope that this wasn’t the last “taxi ride” that we saw in F1.
