@kavu – normally you pick these things from you closest parents and friends.

@kavu That probably helped sell a lot of papers, right?
@kavu That wasn’t a Stewarding decision, it was a Race Control decision – world of difference…
Warheart commented on the post, Verstappen keeps second place after penalty for slowing in front of Hamilton 10 months ago
@kavu everything I wrote obviously refers to the 2017 Baku incident, as was the comment I was replying to.
Weird idea of “proof” @kavu. The stewards statement says that Max braked heavily (-2.4g) and suddenly. They have access to the raw data, not the guesswork of some random on youtube.
drmouse commented on the post, Verstappen keeps second place after penalty for slowing in front of Hamilton 10 months ago
@kavu Lewis slowed down behind Max, but then matched his speed until Max stomped on the brakes, providing 69 bar of brake pressure (a lot) and 2.4G deceleration (a lot) in a part of the track where nobody would […]

I don’t think a YouTube video where someone tries to align the telemetry @kavu is quite the same as what the stewards have access to. There is no need to apply the brakes on a straight like that, I think that is […]

@kavu orange-tinted glasses, I see
@kavu This is embarrassing
it’s really hard to see the yellow flags.
The waved flags aren’t easy to spot but there’s a big flashing yellow panel on the left that’s hard to miss.
@kavu Not following the racing line is the same as turning into Hamilton though. It’s a left turn so not steering means he is actually driving into Hamilton
You know @kavu I have no idea where the idea comes from (I know Sky talked about it but whatever; did Ziggo?) that it’s only bad if you actively turn into your opponent; clearly that would be bad. But here, the […]
@kavu It’s quite simple, this is different because Verstappen didn’t stay on the track. Had Verstappen stayed on track then it would be fine, as his move in Spain, Imola, Austria vs Leclerc all were. This is very different.
My thoughts too, frankly it was obvious it deserved a penalty during the race, but as it wasn’t given it would be unfair to apply one retroactively. If they couldn’t make a decision because of the missing […]
@kavu The difference without a slipstream or DRS was 5-7kph.
Exactly, the RB was 0.5s a lap faster in Mexico, but that was a win down to Verstappen’s brilliance and not because his car was much faster.
bosyber commented on the post, Verstappen comfortably ahead of Mercedes pair in second practice 11 months ago
Given how the championship looks, no, if Hamilton wins another this year then it will be thrilling to see how he does it @kavu, Verstappen certainly looks the favourite since the summer at least. It might still […]

@kavu Indeed. A couple of degrees higher than 22, after all.

Do they cancel out? Bottas’ tyre failure is at least in part driver error, as it is a responsibility of the driver to manage their tyres and to judge the state of their tyres (and perhaps demand a pit […]

@kavu How much was it last year?
Thing is though Verstappen was slower than last year in qualifying. Verstappen isn’t that good a qualifier, so perhaps he simply made some mistakes this year, but still the Red […]
Thanks very much for sharing that, @kavu!
