I wasn’t thinking of the track layout as much as the rather low-rent and run-down appearance. It’s going to take a lot of effort to get it up to snuff for F1 broadcast.

Sam Davis looks like a character from 200AD.
That Zandvoort F4 race looked nuts. I still can’t believe they plan on having an F1 race at that track in a few months, it looks really rough and seedy.

I surely wouldn’t want to give the impression I know what I’m talking about, but did want to make clear that hydrogen is not an energy source, or carbon neutral for the foreseeable future.
Currently about 95% of hydrogen used for fuel is stripped from fossil fuels, and only about 5% comes from the electrolysis of water. So until we get all of our hydrogen from water, and make sure the energy for […]
The problem with that is hydrogen is not properly a fuel, in the sense that it is not a source of energy. It is more analogous to a battery, and you still have to consider where the energy stored in the hydrogen […]
“F1 proved its reaction abilities by designing and developing ventilators during the COVID pandemic; imagine how rapidly motorsport could develop solid state batteries if pushed to do so”
This seems like quite […]

Maybe like the original comment, it’s willful ignorance.

It’s absurd to conflate the liberties taken with DtS with live race coverage. I have zero problems with using whatever audio is deemed appropriate by the editors of DtS to create an entertaining narrative. Playing […]
I’m almost beginning to suspect Mercedes aren’t sandbagging this time!

Kind of anticlimactic end to your jewel heist plans.

Zandvoort looks a little mangy to me, are they going to have it suited up for F1 by September?

I’ve been watching every season of F1 for twenty years, and I recently tried to watch an IndyCar race. It just couldn’t hold my attention the same way as an F1 race, because I just don’t know who the the people in […]
What is the likelihood that RB and AM were fiddling with ways for the tires to pass inspection, but achieve lower pressures at race pace through toying with what the tires were inflated with, or the moisture […]

I’ve often wondered what the carbon footprint of just making the 13 sets of tires teams have each weekend, let alone toting them around the world. That’s 130 tires every race, and I doubt that’s a drop in the bucket.
Yeah, he’ll be missing the eel pie in no time.

Yeah, if they keep running with those sandbags, it looks to be a tough weekend for them.
This is so frustrating, what does IndyCar have to do with anything? They have about 1/425 the viewers that F1 has on a good day, and I don’t see how or why their rules are relevant. What are the rules in lawnmower […]
That Euroformula round 6 race was a lot of fun!
I’m shocked that the team with a lengthy history of sand-bagging appear to have been sand-bagging yet again!
