Kotrba commented on the post, F1 raises concerns over "unacceptable" fan behaviour with Austrian GP promoter 1 month ago
I made the same exact comment on this site a year ago during the Austrian GP. There is a common denominator in this process but I feel everyone is afraid to call it out loud for profits reasons (attendance sell out).
Kotrba commented on the post, Hamilton: Haas fight shows "Ferrari power is too much for us at the moment" 1 month ago
No podium for Russell or Hamilton unless there are retirements from Ferrari and Red Bull.
The lack of straigthline speed of Mercedes is also a big problem for opening laps or aggressive strategy options.
The […]
Kotrba commented on the post, Sainz hails "very special day" after finally taking first win at 150th attempt 1 month, 1 week ago
120 points between two drivers in not that much. Mercedes is improving and its drivers combined are stronger than Red Bull duo. Reliability on the Mercedes also seems second to none.
It is optimistic, but […]
Kotrba commented on the post, Sainz hails "very special day" after finally taking first win at 150th attempt 1 month, 1 week ago
I am convinced that had it not been for the SC, Ferrari would have lost this to Hamilton. Leclerc was faster than Sainz, despite the damage but had lost much time behind him and used a lot of his Hards in the […]
Kotrba commented on the post, Hamilton apologises after finishing nine places behind Russell 3 months, 3 weeks ago
We will see at the end of the season. As of now I think the only Hamilton´s problem is he cant heat the tyres as quickly as George. This has cost him a lot this weekend but also in Saudi Arabia I would assume. […]
Kotrba commented on the post, Bringing updates for Mercedes "doesn't make any sense" at the moment – Wolff 4 months, 1 week ago
The one about “one big team making serious error in their design”?? Yeah I was wondering about that as well. :D
Kotrba commented on the post, Leclerc and Zhou cleared, Tsunoda reprimanded for driving too slowly 4 months, 1 week ago
Is Perez still under investigation too? And was there any info about the Hamilton-Verstappen encounter, was that noted by the stewards?
Also what would be the penalty for the three drivers investigated as mentioned here?

Don´t try to go this road.
They both completed two hot laps in Q3.
Kotrba commented on the post, 'Nothing will happen': FIA and F1 confident Saudi Arabian GP venue is secure after attack 4 months, 3 weeks ago
“I mean, who are they targeting? They are targeting the economic infrastructure, not the civilians, and of course, not the track.”
Formula 1 race is definitely an economic asset to Saudi Arabia. As is the oil […]
Kotrba commented on the post, First pictures: Red Bull finally reveals its aggressive new F1 car for 2022 5 months, 3 weeks ago
First of all, I love the fact that two of the top teams have come up with completely different philosophy to the design of sidepods – Ferrari having the most robust ones & Red Bull the most compact (with Mercedes […]

With the red bits it reminds me of 2001 Prost car. The lack of ads is another similarity between the two.
Kotrba commented on the post, Audi's winning record across motorsport makes an F1 entry a thrilling possibility 7 months, 3 weeks ago
Given the above-described record of Audi in various motorsport branches, and taking into account the general behavior of car manufacturers in Formula 1, I reckon it would be the best outcome for Formula 1, if Audi […]
Kotrba commented on the post, Verstappen emphatically beat his latest team mate in title-winning year 7 months, 3 weeks ago
Putting aside Perez insufficient pace compared to Verstappen. Red Bull had realistic shot on WCC had Perez minimized his driving errors.
In the end he just had too much of them to be a sufficient n.2 driver in […]
Kotrba commented on the post, Race-by-race: How Verstappen prevailed over Hamilton in tightest title fight for years 8 months ago
They did it because it was necessary. The question mark over reliability & drop in performance forced them to. The choice of Brasil turned out well, the choice of Turkey not. In hindsight, they would have done […]
Kotrba commented on the post, Race-by-race: How Verstappen prevailed over Hamilton in tightest title fight for years 8 months ago
I would not call it masterstroke. Especially the change in Turkey was very costly. The fact that overtaking was so difficult and tyre strategies so limited meant that Hamilton could not make it on the podium. […]
Kotrba commented on the post, Race-by-race: How Verstappen prevailed over Hamilton in tightest title fight for years 8 months ago
I think that little has been said of Honda engines. Yes Hamilton´s engines did marvels in Turkey, Brasil & Jeddah but as some predicted it seems that both underwent a significant decline in performance over quite […]
Kotrba commented on the post, Hamilton didn't want to win his first title in court – does he feel the same about an eighth? 8 months ago
Until this moment I believed that in 2007, it was actually McLaren who decided not to protest the results (with respect to their bad reputation after Spygate), so it surprising to read they did & it was neglected […]

Here it is, race 2-lap shorter. Officially, GP had only 54 laps instead of usual 56.

I actually believe multiple races were waved off early by mistake, and one of them (Chinese GP – do not remember the year) by something like 3 laps too early. Will try to look for this one now.
Kotrba commented on the post, Did F1 race control make correct decision over last-lap restart? 8 months ago
The last paragraph is very interesting to tackle.
Yes I concur with you that Mercedes were conservative with simply copying Verstappen strategy – sort of “he pitted so lets pit & cover him with […]
