KRB commented on the post, What Rosberg's last Mercedes deal tells us about Bottas's chances of staying 3 years ago
Just wondering what your thinking is behind believing Rosberg would have podiumed in Germany? He might’ve played it safer than Bottas did at the end, but in general I think Bottas is a better wet-weather driver […]
KRB commented on the post, Bottas considering 'plan B and plan C' in case he loses Mercedes seat 3 years ago
Heard anything? That could only happen if Vettel left.
KRB commented on the post, Hamilton doesn't intend to retire any time soon 3 years ago
I would like him to go to Ferrari for 2021, though with how they’ve been of late, would you be signing up there? They have the best engine currently, then couple that with ground effect, and they might be very […]
KRB commented on the post, Hamilton doesn't intend to retire any time soon 3 years ago
The 2008 title remains the last time a driver won in a non-WCC car. He should never have been close that year. That was a great achievement.
Mansell’s lone title came in one of the most lopsided seasons ever, […]
KRB commented on the post, Hamilton hunts down Verstappen for Hungarian GP win 3 years ago
I can understand it when Lewis gets pole, then just drives away from the rest. But when it’s a high-tension race like today, fans should give it up to both drivers. It could have gone either way … if Hamilton […]
KRB commented on the post, Hamilton hunts down Verstappen for Hungarian GP win 3 years ago
Not sure he was gracious in defeat. He claimed that Merc still have a margin on Red Bull and that that’s what decided it today. If he gets into the fastest car, will all the wins that follow be hollow then? Or […]

KRB commented on the post, Hamilton hunts down Verstappen for Hungarian GP win 3 years ago
Max found out today that it’s not always sunshine and unicorns leading out front. A challenger behind can always go for the undercut in a time-limited race.
Lewis’ win percentage when starting off the front row […]
KRB commented on the post, Bottas blames Leclerc for "completely unnecessary" first-lap contact 3 years ago
100% nailed on penalty, under the “maneuvers liable to hinder” provision. I am a big Leclerc fan, but that was a total shoulder charge at Bottas, like something you’d do in Mario Kart.
Flabbergasted that the […]
KRB commented on the post, Verstappen spins and wins Mercedes' race 3 years ago
The rumour is that the next Honda iteration will add 25 bhp. Renault might then be the worst engine.
Man, did Alonso ever screw McLaren in pushing them to ditch Honda. McLaren needs to be a factory team to get […]
KRB commented on the post, Verstappen spins and wins Mercedes' race 3 years ago
@erikje, @N specifically was talking about Hamilton’s spin coming out of turn 1. It was pure luck that Hamilton didn’t crash into the wall, but Valtteri did. They were near identical spins at an identical part of […]
KRB commented on the post, Verstappen spins and wins Mercedes' race 3 years ago
Hmm, being out front is a double edged sword. You don’t get the spray, but you’re also the first to have to go through track sections, that are changing lap to lap.
If you re-watch that race, you’ll see that […]
KRB commented on the post, "Retire the car": Hamilton wanted to quit before taking ninth 3 years ago
Alonso: “I give up”. Forget which race, but it was in the last 5 years. There were also suggestions that he retired a healthy car more than a few times.
And yes, Hamilton is without doubt one of the greatest […]
KRB commented on the post, Verstappen spins and wins Mercedes' race 3 years ago
Agreed. Saw some sites call Max’s drive a “masterclass”, which for me is a reach. Max did the best of all those out there, but a true masterclass is when you don’t put a foot wrong. Hamilton in Brazil 2016 or […]
KRB commented on the post, Kubica sets new record by ending eight-year wait for points 3 years ago
The rule for standing starts after a bunch of formation laps behind the SC, is new as of 2017. Singapore had a normal start, though I’m not sure if it was declared wet beforehand, meaning all drivers had to put on wet tires.
KRB commented on the post, "Retire the car": Hamilton wanted to quit before taking ninth 3 years ago
I agree that Max has driven better, on the whole, this year than Lewis.
I still wouldn’t trade Lewis for Max. Not yet, anyways. There will come a time where age starts to degrade Lewis’ ability, and Max gets […]
KRB commented on the post, "Retire the car": Hamilton wanted to quit before taking ninth 3 years ago
Who’s better then? The only driver on the current grid who you could possibly make a case for is Verstappen. I think Verstappen is having a great year, and has been the best driver so far this year (even before […]
KRB commented on the post, Why Hamilton didn't get a penalty in Monaco – but Vettel did in Canada 3 years, 2 months ago
Hamilton would have won in either the Ferrari or Mercedes, the last two seasons. Vettel dropped far too many points last year. On the Saturday of German GP qualifying, Seb took pole while Hamilton had to start […]
KRB commented on the post, Why Hamilton didn't get a penalty in Monaco – but Vettel did in Canada 3 years, 2 months ago
If you legitimately got pushed off track while making an overtake, you wouldn’t be penalized for that. See Rosberg scything over on Hamilton in Bahrain ’12, pushing him off the track. Hamilton keeps his foot in […]
KRB commented on the post, Why Hamilton didn't get a penalty in Monaco – but Vettel did in Canada 3 years, 2 months ago
Care to list all of those times? Wedging a driver out at corner exit is as old as motor racing itself. Rosberg did his fair share … Canada ’14 for one.
The reason why you don’t remember it is b/c Hamilton […]
