lightsout commented on the post, Hamilton move was 'hard racing, we're not in kindergarten' – Verstappen 7 months, 1 week ago
Ah you mean the one where Hamilton stayed on the track?
Regardless just because Hamilton does moves which could be seen to be similar doesn’t mean I agree that those are OK either. I definitely do not like […]

Disagree – can’t say that if he runs wide at the first corner and gives up first.

I don’t think agree.

Well every other team, were at least 12 seconds behind Hamilton and that was probably worth double that at safety car speed. That has way more time to react. Even Mercedes say they spotted it but it was simply too […]

Try to think who those 5 are! Vettel, both RBs, Hulk, etc. They all crashed out.
Also, he wasn’t the only one to do so, and he went around the distant bollard as intended.
lightsout commented on the post, Renault calls for 100kg fuel limit to be dropped 6 years, 3 months ago
Most races, they don’t even need 100kg as it is. The problem is, if they need 90kg then they put 88kg and then make the driver do some fuel saving as a result. Or if a safety car comes out, then they’re good […]
lightsout commented on the post, Mercedes "compromised" Rosberg to help Hamilton 7 years, 1 month ago
Don’t really agree, as we never saw the two drivers compete. Hamilton spent half the race behind Vettel, so Rosberg was just able to cover him easily at that point.
lightsout commented on the post, "Not again!" Hamilton pips Vettel to Malaysia pole 7 years, 3 months ago
As I said earlier, if that was Vettel on his fast lap and he blocked him like that we’d all be calling for a penalty and frankly he’d deserve it.
lightsout commented on the post, "Not again!" Hamilton pips Vettel to Malaysia pole 7 years, 3 months ago
If Rosberg had done that to Vettel on his fast run (considering Hamilton was purple in S1) then he’d have well deserved a penalty. He is only really getting away with it because it was the other Merc and Hamilton […]

lightsout commented on the post, 2014 Austrian Grand Prix tyre strategies and pit stops 8 years ago
As a Hamilton fan, I noticed it and complained it, but I don’t think it is deliberate. Of course if you look at the chart, both of Rosberg’s were faster so it has some truth.
I just wanted some bad luck to […]

I agree. I mean, if the gearbox fails (even due to a tyre problem) then you get a penalty. I think this sort of thing should have a penalty on it too. Didn’t we have a pitlane crash in Silverstone?
lightsout commented on the post, Cameraman taken to hospital after pit lane incident 8 years, 11 months ago
Agreed. Too much of this and the unsafe releases too, needs to more than a fine.

Why does he NEED to catch up? He already got a bit advantage getting the lap back, let alone catching up the back with nice warm tyres & brakes!

It’d be really nice to have some answers to these questions too!
lightsout commented on the post, 2013 Monaco Grand Prix lap charts 9 years, 1 month ago
From what I recall of the race, the Red Bulls were well past Hamilton before he came out of the pit lane. So I guess it was a fair amount of time he needed – was he really that far behind Rosberg?

I’ll reply to myself as I can’t reply to @vettel1 directly. :P
I disliked the Spanish GP – however Webber did stop first, so he should have to pay the downside of that. 55 laps on a set of tyres is plenty for […]
lightsout commented on the post, Rate the race: 2013 Monaco Grand Prix 9 years, 1 month ago
As opposed to having them all on the same age tyres? Can you imagine Webber hanging on for what 55 laps on his tyres? We’d have seen more action I think without that free change!
lightsout commented on the post, 2013 Bahrain Grand Prix result 9 years, 2 months ago
I am the only one who hated the last lap coverage of the race from FOM? We barely saw Hamilton & Webber’s battle – and then we completely missed Webber & Perez! Just to watch Vettel cruise around, I think that is […]
lightsout commented on the post, Hamilton gets gearbox change penalty 9 years, 2 months ago
This always gets into the fact the 5-place grid penalty for gearbox penalties is not well liked by the fans. In this event, it is really worse, as it isn’t Mercedes’ fault by all accounts as the tyre gave up!
