@lustigson I’m pretty sure F3000 was more of F2 than GP2 is.

but it’s something that the FIA had to create because the teams couldn’t agree on a more thourough solution to the problem of turbulent air.
Well the solution to that is therefore to prevent the […]

– The only other father/son combination who has won on same circuit is Graham and Damon Hill in Monza, as stated by @Lustigson earlier. The Hills both won German and Spanish GPs, but on different circuits […]
BasCB commented on the post, Are Red Bull "dominating" Formula One? 9 years ago
Yeah, that illustrates it pretty nicely @lustigson. Domination is what we saw with Ferrari and McLaren.
The last couple of years have been the best job from Red Bull overall, thats why they won. Having the […]

@theoddkiwi Nice stat!
@lustigson Not surprising, given that he was a title contender from Year 1. Prost was at pre-Dennis McLaren in Year 1, while Senna was in a Toleman in his, and Schumacher was just […]

Max Jacobson commented on the post, Are Red Bull "dominating" Formula One? 9 years, 4 months ago
@lustigson – thanks for that additional information! It definetly does go to show that Red Bull’s “dominance” has been much more hard faught than Ferrari’s or McLaren’s; all the better for the show I say!
Keith Collantine commented on the post, Are Red Bull "dominating" Formula One? 9 years, 4 months ago
@lustigson That’s why I put the percentages in (that and the three seasons wouldn’t have the same number of races anyway).

Dog bites man, film at eleven.
Keith Collantine commented on the post, Pic to get ten-place penalty for engine change 9 years, 7 months ago
@lustigson It does rather show how inadequate this sort of penalty is. It is inevitable that there is one driver on the grid every race for which a grid penalty makes no difference at all.
Prisoner Monkeys commented on the post, Montezemolo says F1 races should be shorter 9 years, 8 months ago
@lustigson – The only problem with that is that the circuits differ wildly. Compare Monza to Singapore, for instance: Monza is 5.79km long, whilst Marina Bay is 5.07km in length. In terms of the total race length, […]

@lustigson I fail to see why the strip of grass – or some Ricard style run-off – immediately adjacent to the track hasn’t already been put in place.
It keeps the safety and the integrity of the racetrack at the same time
