Mads commented on the post, "I don't believe that": Vettel is still convinced Bottas jumped the start 5 years, 11 months ago
Pretty sloppy analysis by Sky. Nowhere do they show that he was actually stationary in the first frame. It would look exactly the same if he was already rolling in the first frame of the video.

Mads commented on the post, "I don't believe that": Vettel is still convinced Bottas jumped the start 5 years, 11 months ago
It really isn’t a problem. His car moves in several frames before the lights go out. We don’t need to be more accurate than that.

Mads commented on the post, Todt defends Vettel penalty decision 5 years, 11 months ago
The outcome is always considered when handing out a penalty. When Grosjean got himself a race ban in 2012? That was ‘just’ accidental wheel banging. That happens regularly and often goes unpunished. Itas the […]

Mads commented on the post, Is Rosberg a deserving world champion? 6 years, 6 months ago
I think he deserved it, even more so than Lewis.
Not because he was necessarily the best driver this year, I think Lewis is the better driver of the two over all and this year as well.
However, the way Nico came […] -
Mads commented on the post, Drivers get 'three strikes' rule for turn one track limits 6 years, 10 months ago
I am sick and tired of all the track limit abuse issues every single weekend.
Can’t they just install the sensors that they used in Hungary at every single corner, on every single track and then give them three […] -
Mads commented on the post, Vettel derides latest qualifying scheme 7 years, 2 months ago
@drycrust That is just smoke and mirros. The teams were given the choice of: Reverse grid for top 8 (iirc), or the current elimination qualifying system. So that they unanimously agreed to the current system does […]

Mads commented on the post, Todt explains why teams were denied option to bring back 2015 qualifying 7 years, 2 months ago
I love how he keeps insisting that the team bosses unanimously agreed to the current format. Like it was something they wanted.
It is like a robber putting a gun to your head and giving you the choice of getting […] -
Mads commented on the post, Elimination qualifying could remain for Bahrain 7 years, 2 months ago
Well thank god that Jean Todt is spending his time desperately trying to save the disaster of a qualifying system, that they introduced to fix something that was perfectly fine to begin with. It must surely mean […]

Mads replied to the topic Driver of the Weekend: Keep or drop? in the forum
Formula One 7 years, 3 months ago
Keep it.
One thing is having the poll, but I think the most interesting thing about DOTW is the comment section. I am sure a lot of people on here will still want to say a thing or two, beyond just casting a vote.
Also comparing DOTW with FIA’s DOTD results could make for a pretty interesting end of the year feature. -
Mads commented on the post, Your top ten passes of 2015: Vote for the best 7 years, 6 months ago
@andybantam I don’t think it was a rubbish move at all. However putting all four wheels off the track to set-up an overtake surely cannot be overtake of the year can it? His move on Perez in Brazil was MUCH more […]

Mads commented on the post, Button certain of big gains from McLaren in 2016 7 years, 6 months ago
@selbbin It’s not as easy as just fixing the power unit. All the systems are tied in with the chassis and aero package. McLaren might have to completely abandon their size zero rear end to make it possible for a […]

Mads commented on the post, Vote for your 2015 Brazilian Grand Prix Driver of the Weekend 7 years, 6 months ago
I don’t think anyone really stood out. Voted Rosberg for doing a more O.K. job then everyone else.

Mads commented on the post, Open cockpits: Here to stay or facing the end? 7 years, 9 months ago
No racing series, closed or open cockpit allows the drivers to not wear a helmet. That won’t change.

Mads commented on the post, Tyre investigation puts Hamilton win in doubt 7 years, 9 months ago
@9chris9 Such a decision might require a little more discussion then what could be done with minutes to go before the start.

Mads commented on the post, Tyre investigation puts Hamilton win in doubt 7 years, 9 months ago
@timmya The rules are the rules. It’s Mercedes fault that they didn’t comply. What anyone thinks of the tyres is an entirely different matter.

Mads commented on the post, Tyre investigation puts Hamilton win in doubt 7 years, 9 months ago
@weeniebeenie That is how nearly all the technical regulations are enforced, as well as drug testing on the drivers.

Mads commented on the post, Tyre investigation puts Hamilton win in doubt 7 years, 9 months ago
@williamstuart The driver is a part of the team. If he does something illegal the team is punished and vice versa. Trying to differentiating the two from each other seems wrong to me. They are a team and they […]

Mads commented on the post, "It's not the 70s": Button calls for closed cockpits 7 years, 9 months ago
The stepped noses were not a safety feature. They were just an ugly byproduct. The safety feature was the lowered nose tip, and I don’t think anyone complained about that.

Mads commented on the post, Vettel furious over "unacceptable" tyre blow-out 7 years, 9 months ago
@nase There is a difference with taking risks on whether or not his pace is going to hold to the end, or whether or not he would suddenly loose all control and risk being thrown face first into the tyres with over […]

Mads commented on the post, Pirelli says drivers should be given maximum stint lengths for its tyres 7 years, 9 months ago
How about Pirelli man up and accept that a tyre, regardless of it’s expected lifespan should fail first by loosing grip at a massive rate, so much so that no driver would be able to continue on them. Long before […]
