Talby commented on the post, Hamilton's knighthood gives him and his sport deserved and overdue recognition 2 years, 2 months ago
This isn’t really about Hamilton or the sport; it’s “For God and the Empire”. This being an empire which enslaved or otherwise oppressed millions for centuries.
What meaning can this have today but to serve as […]

@chrisr1718 How boorish. It’s how he said it.
He devalued his competitors’ achievements based on the failings of the latter’s rivals, which includes the team Norris himself drives for.
Having standards […]

I’m Flemish, and I personally don’t see why the design should be a problem given the context in which it’s being used. Norris’ intentions were apolitical. Surely that should be all that matters?

It being a video game is beside the point. He was dishonest; he mislead people. People who don’t see any wrongdoing have no standards.

When you say Amazon fires are seasonal, you don’t mean to say they’re natural do you? Because the rainforest is being destroyed by man, and the context in which that is happening matters, doesn’t it?

Talby commented on the post, Why Verstappen should have been banned for shoving Ocon 4 years, 4 months ago
The lines about Verstappen Sr are an attempt at explaining Verstappen Jr’s behavior, nothing more.
Did Ronnie O’Sullivan try to take someone’s life? If not, I don’t see how the analogy is valid.

If you don’t mind a bit of violence then why not turn to boxing? It has no place in motorsport.
Talby commented on the post, Why Verstappen should have been banned for shoving Ocon 4 years, 4 months ago
Because speaking against an act of violence that’s widely been found acceptable is completely out of place.

@nvherman If a driver cuts a corner due to a driver error, he should pay a price, shouldn’t he? I don’t think what the pursuing driver might deserve is relevant.
In this situation, with a driver leaving the […]
Talby commented on the post, 2018 Japanese Grand Prix Star Performers 4 years, 5 months ago
For me the race was marred when a driver was unable to maintain his position on merit and chose to force his competitor off the track. Star Performer? I wouldn’t say so.
