@fer-no65
Like I said, my comment should belong under splittimes post further down the list.
But anyway, since we’re now talking about it… I think you got me wrong. I’m totally on your side :)
Again: I said […]Peter commented on the post, New video shows Webber's controversial 'taxi ride' 9 years, 4 months ago
Oops, wrong place for that comment, sorry. Perhaps someone can delete it?

Exactly this, @splittimes. I’m very happy to see that many users here still have reasonable opinions about people running across a live race track for, well, no good reason.
F1 is still dangerous. You can allmost […]Peter commented on the post, Webber to get grid penalty after lift from Alonso 9 years, 4 months ago
Drivers dying in horrible accidents due to lax safety standards are also iconic moments in F1. That doesn’t mean I want to see them again.
Peter commented on the post, Webber to get grid penalty after lift from Alonso 9 years, 4 months ago
Exactly what I was thinking.
I’m really surprised that so many other users are bashing the stewards. Especially after seeing the video the reprimand seems totally reasonable. The stewards made many wrong […]Peter commented on the post, Montezemolo rebukes Alonso for critical comments 9 years, 6 months ago
This is why I love Ferrari; nobody is bigger than the team.
That sounds very romantic, but you can’t deny that Alonso is bigger than the current Ferrari.

If so, then the stewards are not doing their job properly.
Peter commented on the post, Lotus unhappy with Grosjean's "very harsh" penalty 9 years, 6 months ago
For me the real problem with this decision is, like many of you pointed out, that Vettel (and others?) left the track with having far less reason to do so and that he didn’t even get a warning for that.
Double […]Peter commented on the post, No penalty for Alonso for DRS misuse 9 years, 6 months ago
Whilst a small sporting advantage (less than one second over the entire race) was gained, the team argued car three [Alonso] also suffered a disadvantage by being unable to use DRS on every legitimate […]

Am I the only one who has enough?
I loved F1 since I watched my first season in 1992 when I was 9 years old. But the sport has gone wrong in so many directions that I find it really hard to take. Sometimes I […]Peter commented on the post, Rate the race: 2013 British Grand Prix 9 years, 7 months ago
Following the success of movies like “Watch for These Tyres”, “Save Fuel” and “Don’t Use KERS”, now comes the critically acclaimed masterpiece “Don’t Use Curbs”, written and directed by Bernard C. Ecclestone.

7/10. Good overall. Although, like @mike-e put it: “This race lacked RACING.”
Would have been a lot more fun if it had begun to rain when Sutil was leading the race :)
Rosbergs DNF was a shame because I’m […]Peter commented on the post, Rate the race: 2013 Australian Grand Prix 9 years, 10 months ago
I was really tempted to write something about the reeeally bad strategy they took for Massa, just to see if you copy/paste your reply more than once! ;)

Does anyone know of any other one-race bans in (recent) F1 history?
Peter commented on the post, Grosjean handed one-race ban for first-corner crash 10 years, 5 months ago
+1
Result-oriented thinking should not be the way how stewards should come to their conclusions. Would the penalty be this harsh without a big crash like this? I think not. Maybe it would have been a 10 place […]Peter commented on the post, Button storms to Spa win after first-lap shunt 10 years, 5 months ago
Disagreed. Such statements seem to be primarily based on result-oriented thinking, which is wrong imo.
