Malcolm Tucker replied to the topic Where to watch live F1 races in HD/UHD in the forum
Formula One 5 years, 12 months ago
I don’t know about legal but there definitely isn’t a way to watch live F1 in HD illegally, sites that claim to do so are lying.
There are some subscription services that cater for people in countries that don’t have tv coverage. Personally, being in the UK, I think the only option I have is to buy a Sky subscription and use their streaming…[Read more]

What I said to @gechichan and the fact that he was able to steer after rejoining proves he could’ve done more in my opinion

Malcolm Tucker commented on the post, Rate the race: 2017 Spanish Grand Prix 6 years ago
If he just held full lock (with one hand!) and applied the brakes then it would result in less steering/understeer. He should’ve been working hard instead of losing his head

Malcolm Tucker commented on the post, Rate the race: 2017 Spanish Grand Prix 6 years ago
@hahostolze I expect him to have both hands on the wheel at least. His hand went up before he knew the extent of the damage to his steering, he should’ve been sawing at the wheel to figure it out but instead he […]

Malcolm Tucker commented on the post, Rate the race: 2017 Spanish Grand Prix 6 years ago
Good race, but I was surprised there was no mention at all from the stewards about how RAI and VER rejoined the track after their incident, and HAM later. Especially VER, he just put his hand in the air and barely […]

Malcolm Tucker replied to the topic How should an F1 points tie be decided? in the forum
Formula One 6 years, 1 month ago
The first BTCC season (then BSCC – 1958) was decided by a shootout. They drove identical cars for two races, swapping cars for the second race in case one was faster, and combined the winning margins of both races to determine the winner. Brilliant in a nostalgic sense but it wouldn’t and probably shouldn’t happen in this day and age!
Giving it…[Read more]

Malcolm Tucker replied to the topic Watching F1 in Japan on TV in the forum
Formula One 6 years, 1 month ago
Apparently this site streams in Japan but I can’t say from personal experience, I imagine you’d have to pay a subscription as well.
It used to be free-to-air on Fuji TV, I think they still hold the rights and show it on one of their subscription/ppv channels so that’s worth looking into

Malcolm Tucker commented on the post, W08: Technical analysis of Mercedes' new car for 2017 6 years, 3 months ago
A car with zero downforce and zero lift would theoretically handle exactly the same in clean or dirty air, but it would corner a lot slower. F1 would be as fun as MotoGP :D

Malcolm Tucker commented on the post, When should F1 introduce 'elimination qualifying'? 7 years, 3 months ago
I voted the same for the same reason; although I don’t really see the point in making any change to qualifying, any change needs to occur in the off-season and be ready for the first race. And despite thinking the […]

Malcolm Tucker replied to the topic Which racing game are you playing the most at the moment? in the forum

I always find myself returning to Simbin’s GT Legends, great physics and car selection and like most pc sims there’s a ton of great mods out there. The only other sim I currently have installed on my pc is Assetto Corsa, it’s a bit limited but it’s probably the best looking racer out there. I’m still yet to get into PCARS and Dirt Rally doesn’t…[Read more]

Malcolm Tucker commented on the post, Mercedes sues employee seeking "unlawful advantage" for Ferrari 7 years, 5 months ago
@mike, if they had no aero devices at all then the following car would have an advantage over the leading car…
Admittedly I say this in jest as there’s no way anyone in F1 would want to turn the clock back 50 […]

Malcolm Tucker commented on the post, Ferrari vetoed cut-price engine deal over 'business principle' 7 years, 7 months ago
@raceprouk Really? I assumed the 6m figure was for the whole package? As I type, Sky have just said Jean Todt wants the cap to be 12m, so if you’re correct that means Todt is asking the teams to sell at a loss? […]

Malcolm Tucker commented on the post, Ferrari vetoed cut-price engine deal over 'business principle' 7 years, 7 months ago
Although I agree with your final point, ‘It isn’t Ferrari’s responsibility to subsidise engines for other teams’, I’d counter that by saying that it isn’t the responsibility of the smaller teams to subsidize Fer […]

Malcolm Tucker commented on the post, Hamilton told team Rosberg move was not deliberate 7 years, 7 months ago
@raceprouk I agree, I was using the word collision as the official term for any contact, rather than expressing an opinion on the severity of the incident. I’m a touring car nut so I’m well up for a bit of rubbing […]

Malcolm Tucker commented on the post, Hamilton told team Rosberg move was not deliberate 7 years, 7 months ago
To me it looked like he wasn’t understeering at all, the front wheels seemed to be travelling where he was pointing them without drama and there was no momentary increase/decrease in rotation that you can normally […]

I chose ‘support slightly’. Although I do strongly support it, I don’t think it will end in a comfortable resolution for the complainants so I downgraded my support rating.
I think the real issue is not the […]
