to be fair with the TV director, the didn’t show the replay until they had a shot of Romain out of his car, into the medical car. to show it over and over again, AFTER we were sure he was ok, is a testament of how […]

Perez is the ticket. Who else could bring such a talent and such a deep pocketed sponsors in a budget cap era? best of two worlds, if you ask me.

about the COTD, Adrian Newey may not get dumber if you pay him less, but thinking that money doesn’t do anything in performance is, to say the least, naive. it’s not the same to have 30 engineers developing a […]
matiascasali commented on the post, Why the FIA struck a confidential deal over Ferrari's power unit 2 years, 5 months ago
It’s ferrari showing them how they did it even when it was not cheating because fia didn’t want other teams doing the same (even if it was legal, just like this year with the Mercedes DAS)
matiascasali commented on the post, FIA reaches agreement with Ferrari after power unit investigation 2 years, 5 months ago
Because they didn’t break any rule?
matiascasali commented on the post, FIA reaches agreement with Ferrari after power unit investigation 2 years, 5 months ago
So you actually KNOW what they did, and redbull and mercedes with their army of engineers couldn’t get it? Man your a wasted talent!
matiascasali commented on the post, FIA reaches agreement with Ferrari after power unit investigation 2 years, 5 months ago
We all knew about the das because we could actually see it in work. If for some reason we couldnt see it, still legal, still outlawed for next year. Can it be the same, just we couldnt see the PU?
matiascasali commented on the post, FIA reaches agreement with Ferrari after power unit investigation 2 years, 5 months ago
Because the FIA may have not wanted other engines doing whatever Ferrari came up with, altough, completely legal. Most likely they did close the loophole Ferrari had founded, but admited that it was ok when they did it.
matiascasali commented on the post, FIA reaches agreement with Ferrari after power unit investigation 2 years, 5 months ago
I’m not sure if it is cheating. Let’s say that we didn’t saw the DAS in the Mercedes. But the FIA know what are they doing, and consider it legal for the moment. Enter 2021 and Mercedes signs an agreement to not […]

i LOVE al that data available. Sorry for the old farts complaining about it, but this is the way to engage new viewership: new demographics, and new markets. Also if you’re a hard core fan, this really enhance the experience.
matiascasali commented on the post, Why F1 teams are rolling out the red carpet for new rivals 2 years, 11 months ago
Your missing a detail: nfl teams are really cost caped with rigorous control, and make profit, because they can’t have a budget larger than what they get from tv (wich is the same for everyone). If f1 had a […]

Agree with you. People tend to forget how every f1 era, at least from the 80s onwards, is dominated by a single team, by whatever reason (money, rules, you name it) we had more or less this kind of situation for […]

Same here. On the GP2 even more so, with updated seasons, tracks and cars! I love that game (and still play it times to times. Surprisingly good with a g29 wheel! )

i disagree. Those graphics could be quite cool. Imagine Ricciardo or Max overtaking with a chance of 20%? also, imagine the bets they’ll be able to run: wich driver will do the less likely overtake. It’s not that […]

that’s right. But what you say about money to be made was true in the 90’s and it still is true today

Just as it were a lot of money to be made with “Villeneuve” and “Brabham” names, back in the 90’s, right?

@alianora-la-canta i agree with you, but you’re missing my most important point: F1 isn’t (and if you ask me, never was) a meritocracy.
Being talented is just a part, and not a big one, to get to F1. Is Ericsson […]matiascasali commented on the post, Ticktum's insinuations after F3 blow: 'I'm fighting a losing battle as my name isn't Schumacher' 3 years, 10 months ago
BTW: Russia and China are huge markets for FDA, not so latin america, Africa and the rest of Asia. can you see the trend? is it talent or marketing who weights more to make a decision?

my point wasn’t about europe or any other place bias, it was about money (or potential money) bias. If you’re running an F4 team, and you have to decide between signing Mick or any other driver with the same level […]
