I like that! Sprint race instead of FP1.
For grid, either championship or reverse championship could work too.
There could be also a rule that they have to use a rookie driver. Then hand out only […]
It will be interesting to see if next years cars make any difference. I think Brazil’s Sprint Race will look the same as two other ones…
Matthias[Wlkp] commented on the post, McLaren end second-longest wait between wins for an F1 team 10 months, 4 weeks ago
Shouldn’t this be third longest?
Between Vettel’s 2008 Monza win for Toro Rosso and Gasly’s win last year is 12 years.
I know Alpha Tauri and Toro Rosso is not exact same name, but the team is the same, just rebranded.
Matthias[Wlkp] commented on the post, Australian Grand Prix cancelled for second year in a row 1 year, 1 month ago
Easy – Portimao, Mugello, Sakhir outer, even Sepang. They will work something out. They have plenty of time.
Matthias[Wlkp] commented on the post, "Bendy" wing rule tweak will cost us a fortune, Vasseur warns 1 year, 2 months ago
This is silly. The wings will always bend, it only matters how much. We had one test, everybody passed, but now Mercedes is complaining that someone else passed it better than them (allows for more flex). Shame on […]
Let me explain – this is one form of trolling. A controversial comment aimed at getting a reaction. You responded – they win. Some people just love to see the world burn…
LOL! Upside down stapler!
I disagree with your authenticity ranking.
The team either has racing in their blood, a purpose, or it doesn’t.
Then, they either have funds to do it all the way, or they don’t.
You could argue that some […]

Why not have F2 test it?
“In order to promote “We race as one” initiative, the starting grid will be arranged in the same way as our rainbow logo. Therefore Ferrari will be always starting first, McLaren second, and so on, with Mercedes […]
Did you guys write anything about current Daytona 24h? Did I miss it? Plenty of F1 and other great drivers are participating…
It won’t be the same next year. Since Audi said they quit, they decided to change the rules to GT3. This will make them substantially slower. On the flip side, there will be more brands – i.e. McLaren is already in.
Matthias[Wlkp] commented on the post, Aston Martin and Mercedes to share safety car supply in 2021 1 year, 8 months ago
DBX will be a medical car. Not sure if there is any other Aston that has 4 doors and Wagon-like body.
Matthias[Wlkp] commented on the post, Racing Point: Pitting Stroll from the lead was the "right call" 1 year, 8 months ago
Look at Danny Ric’s pace. He was doing 1.45s when Lance came out from the pits. Not sure if the issue was the same, but that stood out to me on Live Timing.
Matthias[Wlkp] commented on the post, Racing Point could set damaging new precedent for copying, warns Key 2 years ago
You will not win championships if you only copy someone else’s last year car. Even current year car – by the time you copy it, the original will be months ahead.
I see no problem here.
If you are far behind, […]
Matthias[Wlkp] commented on the post, Ferrari should heed this lesson from its greatest era: Diversity delivers 2 years ago
I agree with @cduk_mugello. On top of that, if you read “Thinking fast and slow” by Daniel Kahneman, he breaks down the result bias and halo effect in drawing conclusions exactly like in this article. In essence, […]
Matthias[Wlkp] commented on the post, Red Bull's protest against Mercedes' DAS rejected by stewards 2 years, 1 month ago
Mercedes’ engineers came up with a brilliant device – they keep it for a year. Only for a year, because next year everybody would have it, therefore they would not have an advantage anymore. Since […]
How does that jive with a report by some Austrian radio, that apparently a deal is almost in place to have two races there in June?
Not sure how that plays out – by selling the parts they increase the revenue, but that doesn’t affect the cost cap. Unless it somehow does, but that would be even more unfair, since Ferrari could then could trade […]
