Marco Freire commented on the post, F1 to court US market with pre-Miami GP summit featuring Hamilton 1 month ago
I would not be surprised if this race courts the same controversy as it caused last year. The race is held in an oppressive time of year, which causes all sorts of problems- the circuit layout needs some changes […]

Money. That’s it.

Marco Freire commented on the post, Alonso wary of fightback from Mercedes and Ferrari in coming races 1 month, 2 weeks ago
You know what they could do? They could extend the approach to the Melbourne hairpin to the bottom of the hill, where it was in the 1930s. I did some measurements and it would extend the track to about 3.4 miles.

Marco Freire commented on the post, Schumacher caused $2 million in damage in one season at Haas – Steiner 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Also- if we are accounting for accident damage, the king of that is probably Andrea de Cesaris in 1981. He had 19 crashes in that one season alone. So adjusting for inflation, his total is probably twice or three […]

There is no way Mick caused more damage than Mazespin. No way.

Marco Freire commented on the post, Drivers rave after "best Texas race in years" but thin crowd is a concern 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Define “high stakes racing”? If you are referring to the money and/or prestige involved then that is simply not a fair comparison- that is incredibly elitist, if you ask me. No form of racing other than the fac […]

Marco Freire commented on the post, Verstappen "won't be around too long" if F1 keeps changing race weekend format 1 month, 4 weeks ago
I think everyone is taking this too seriously. Max will be around until at least 2035. He ain’t going anywhere.

Marco Freire commented on the post, Dixon wants more oval races on IndyCar calendar 1 month, 4 weeks ago
IndyCar should be at places like Homestead-Miami, Charlotte, Phoenix, Richmond and the Pikes Peak oval, and maybe even a trip to Motegi. They should also replace the Nashville street circuit with the Nashville […]

Marco Freire commented on the post, 'We were built for racing, unlike Vegas': COTA boss not concerned by new F1 rivals 2 months ago
I really, really, REALLY hope F1 does not go to Atlantic City. Atlantic City, New Jersey might be the worst place in the entire developed world. This is a place that will destroy most F1 fandom of those who visit […]

He’s talking about the last few laps at the NASCAR race there last Sunday

Zero (that’s not a direct answer to your question).

Marco Freire commented on the post, Las Vegas GP to offer more general admission tickets – without view of race 2 months ago
Man. I am disgusted by this Las Vegas race. As an American I want to put a bag with eyeholes over my head. If anyone needed further convincing to not go to this scam of a race, look no further.

Trump’s casinos are long gone. He bankrupted 3 of them there. Trump could not negotiate himself out of a wet paper bag. That being said Atlantic City, which is about 50 miles east of Philadelphia and 100 miles […]

That was a really good circuit in an absolutely fantastic location. I don’t think people quite understood how good that circuit would have been (and how much of a pipe dream it turned out to be).

OH PLEASE GOD NO. NO! NO!!!!!! (That scene with Steve Carell from the US version of The Office) Oh my God. Atlantic City is quite possibly the worst place in the developed world. If you think Vegas is bad, you […]

I was at this race. It was not too bad on the Friday WEC race day but on the 12 Hours IMSA race day (Saturday), it was damned hot- 88 degrees F (31C). There were also 236,000 people at this race- a 40 percent […]

Good on Lewis. This GP is an abomination and it should not continue under any circumstances. I might watch the highlights but absolutely NOT the full race- no one should watch the full race.

Actually- he has to. He is contracturally obligated to race in every race in the championship barring injury or illness.
