18th June 2015, 23:34 at 11:34 pm #300252MichaelParticipantOK so I have had my weekend tickets booked for a while now but decided to go all out and now I also have pit walk access on the Thursday. I have a general idea of what it is but I was wondering if anyone here has done this before and could give me a bit of a heads up!?
2nd June 2015, 17:45 at 5:45 pm #299336MichaelParticipantThe end of that comment made me feel all warm inside. But it is a good point though, I’m mad about f1 so I’m always in the loop of what’s going on. It is surprising though how little people outside of this loop actually know about one of the “biggest” sports in the world.

Easiest way is to buy a park and ride ticket when you buy your tickets- you will need to choose ‘six fields’ stadium. They run pretty much all day but I’d advise getting there earlyish so you don’t miss any action! As for the engines, they’re definitely not as loud as the last time you will have seen an f1 car but they are adequate enough in my opinion. Ear defenders aren’t needed but you may want to to some plugs for the gp2 as they’re still pretty loud. Hope this helps!

16th March 2015, 0:27 at 12:27 am #294528MichaelParticipantOk, thanks for the tips! I shall bare all in mind!
8th March 2015, 12:57 at 12:57 pm #293715MichaelParticipantYeah it does have, I went Friday last year but I can’t remember what it was like as you don’t need to listen really for practice. And ok, I’ll look forward to hearing back!
8th March 2015, 12:16 at 12:16 pm #293712MichaelParticipantYeah that’s not a bad idea actually. If I use normal earphones (like apple ones), they tend to let a lot of background noise through anyway. I was still thinking about big noise cancelling ones. On the written commentary, I do use it for certain things, like the winter testing for example. However for the race it may be a bit of a hindrance! Thanks though!
3rd February 2015, 20:59 at 8:59 pm #291625MichaelParticipantHi Greg, just out of curiosity, how much louder are the new cars? And how much louder is the Honda (when it eventually ran) than the rest of the field?
8th March 2014, 14:02 at 2:02 pm #251249MichaelParticipantI’m going to Silverstone just for the Friday as can’t afford the race this year but was wondering if anyone knows when the event timetables are released so I can plan in advance?
