What about Verstappen not getting a penalty for overtaking Magnussen off-track? :)
Michal commented on the post, Stewards rule Leclerc-Grosjean pit collision was "minor" 1 year, 10 months ago
This is a surprise. Of course we can claim Grosjean wasn’t a direct rival of Leclerc but they weren’t seperated by a lot so he therefore impeded a close competitior. I doubt it that is a valid excuse as well. […]
Michal commented on the post, Hamilton: Blame F1 bosses, not drivers, for "boring" races 1 year, 12 months ago
3/10, the race was as interesting as this season. Boring races, dominant team/driver dominating and the competitiveness of the field is very low. Was really looking forward to this year with Ferrari quickest in […]
@kingshark – it’s not even close. Ferrari truly dominated in 2002 and 2004, semi-dominated in 2001 and there was a titanic battle in both 2000 and 2003. Mercedes had three straight years of absolute domination […]
Michal commented on the post, Hamilton defends Vettel after fourth spin in 10 races 2 years, 2 months ago
@kingshark – I agree he deteroriated since Hockenheim but all was not well before. Vettel made a mistake at the Baku restart and hit Bottas at the start in France. There was previous year’s Baku, Singapore and […]
Great race, terrible ending. As in Baku and Interlagos. Same driver, who dominates in this era, benefits which is also sad. As a Ferrari fan I wasn’t even overly sad with Vettel’s error as that would help Leclerc position.
Surprised at some of the higher ratings. Very little position changes, with Bottas dominating and while the midfield stayed remarkably close, the overtaking was very hard and there were very few real attempts.
Michal commented on the post, F1 approves plan to award a point for fastest lap in 2019 2 years, 3 months ago
Liberty was talking beautifully but here we go again… The 2021 rules package has a big delay and probably it’s not going to be any kind of revolution while hastily introducing rules for no obvious purpose.
Should be second behind Hamilton. He outqualified Vandoorne every single time, drove some great races, made no major mistakes and gave McLaren a position in WCC which they clearly doesn’t deserve. Verstappen is […]
I disagree with Hulkenberg’s ranking. Unfortunately he might be perceived similarly by the many people due to his unspectacular highs when he dominated class B from start to finish or spectacular lows (Spa, Baku, […]
I would put Vandoorne in 17th, which is still higher than most people IMO. I would try to defend his position though had not seen Grosjean two places lower. The Frenchman had pretty strong second half while […]
6/10. The opening laps were promising and there was some good racing in the midfield. However, it turned into a procession at the front apart from typical Bottas slump. Still, arguably third best race in Abu Dhabi […]
0.067s on average is hardly convincing. I am not sad to see him leave, if you are good as Stroll, you are not good enough. There are many drivers deserving F1 seats and never getting them or losing them. I don’t […]
Michal commented on the post, Pirelli: High degradation tyres "probably not right" for F1 2 years, 7 months ago
High-degradation tyres were very good in 2011-12 but not so much after that. However going for rock-solid tyres won’t produce “flat-out races” because they still have to save fuel, engines and manage everything.
Michal commented on the post, 'We're completely cruising around': Bottas wants better tyres in 2019 2 years, 8 months ago
I am for wear-limited tyres that require tyre saving and multiple stops but not tyre degradation, which kills on-track battles (unless one is significantly faster and overtake very quickly) and mean everyone is […]
