I used to think that but actually, VAG = Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft
In the UK it would be plc
Spain: S.A.
Italy: S.p.A
Audi is just one of the companies in the Volkswagen group, they are also a public […] -
Mike commented on the post, Le Mans not the only race to produce a surprise 7 years, 11 months ago
Tbh the 6 hour races have been much better so far.
And no one’s saying you should give one up to watch the others, embrace all of motorsport, it’s much better that way -
Mike commented on the post, Monaco lap shortened by Tabac changes 8 years ago
Officially it will, it’s on the official website. 1st lap will be a new record for that layout, and the fastest will be quoted as the lap record from then on. It will still be slower than Michael’s time though.

I’ve noticed that the old mclarens have had their old tobacco sponsors on them a lot lately including the west mclarens
Maybe Ron is trying to prove a point that the red and white livery is a marlboro livery not honda -
Mike commented on the post, McLaren on top of issues after late run – Button 8 years, 4 months ago
You would think it should be standard practice to run the engine in similar conditions to those which it will always be used. I don’t see any F1 cars running with exposed engines anymore.

Mike commented on the post, Making sense of F1's engine rules for 2015 8 years, 4 months ago
Well it seems like it’s all just speculation at the moment anyway, I think Mercedes are in a position to win either way but their customers may not be happy having to wait for upgraded engines

Mike commented on the post, Making sense of F1's engine rules for 2015 8 years, 4 months ago
As an engineer that sounds good and it is probably what I would do in their position, but I hope for the sake of competition that no action is taken on the others. I don’t mind watching the Mercedes drivers battle […]

Mike commented on the post, Making sense of F1's engine rules for 2015 8 years, 4 months ago
I think it will be interesting if one engine manufacturer turns up in Australia with all 32 tokens used. That would make the others nervous, because then they are open to the other manufacturer lodging a protest […]

Ricciardo on Vettel easily. It was such a clever move, i said there and then that has to be overtake of the year. He was already alongside on the outside but then came off the throttle and dived down the inside, i […]

Mike commented on the post, Who will gain – and lose – from radio rule change? 8 years, 8 months ago
I think this is too short notice, this needs to happen between seasons so the teams can deal with it and simplify the systems. I foresee a few tantrums from drivers who get frustrated when they need to know […]

Mike commented on the post, How can Mercedes defuse the Hamilton-Rosberg row? 8 years, 9 months ago
Fair but I think with Hamilton at the front that’s less likely to happen. Ricciardo has only won when its technically been a fight with rosberg, okay Canada was a mechanical issue and Hungary he did overtake […]

I think it would be good if they stopped sharing data and did everything separately, then we’ll see who is naturally fastest. I expect it to be Hamilton and I’d quite like it to be too, but it would be good to see […]

Mike commented on the post, Should F1 use standing starts for restarts? 8 years, 11 months ago
Why not do a proper rolling start like in gt races and stuff, it’s basically a rolling grid and no additional time will be lost

I’d say that the main problem was due to tyre changes not being allowed in 2005.
