Oxnard commented on the post, How Red Bull handled Perez and Verstappen's scrap for fastest lap in Jeddah 2 months, 1 week ago
A bit of a non-story. Max was smart enough to get that fastest lap on the last lap, and Perez was not. The team didn’t manage anything. Both were told what the fastest lap was, yet only Max used that infomation to […]

Oxnard commented on the post, Norris: Discussions with Red Bull before McLaren deal no more than a "chat" 6 months, 4 weeks ago
I expect he talks to other teams so his price goes up.

Oxnard commented on the post, 'This shouldn't be part of the DNA of racing': Drivers tire of grid penalty confusion 8 months, 2 weeks ago
Dear Esteban, problem is that once you allow teams to use 4-5 PU’s per year, they’ll end up using 7-8 instead of 5-6.

Oxnard commented on the post, Perez fades after strong start to second season alongside Verstappen 9 months, 2 weeks ago
The ‘finished ahead’ stat is a bit off. A bit odd to give Perez the ‘finished ahead’ in Bahrain, as both didn’t see the checkered flag due to technical DNF’s in the last few laps.

Oxnard commented on the post, Leclerc shows he was right to tell Ferrari 'we can get them' with win in Red Bull's backyard 10 months, 3 weeks ago
This. They were looking good in the longruns on friday, but I suspect they changed something in the setup between FP1 and quali, and it obviously didn’t transfer well to race pace on sunday. Normally you have two […]

Oxnard commented on the post, Hamilton dismisses Horner's claim Mercedes 'let Ferrari off' with Silverstone strategy 10 months, 4 weeks ago
I’m not so sure about that either. Ferrari did their stops to cover the undercut, not because they ran out of tyres. After the SC the hard didn’t get up to temperature as fast as the soft, resulting in Charles lac […]

Oxnard commented on the post, Perez shows he's no number two by mastering treacherous Monaco 1 year ago
Perez has a decent amount of points, but a title contender? Charles and Max are on another level, without all the technical DNF’s, he would have been so high up in the title race. Jeddah shows why Perez isn’t a […]

Oxnard commented on the post, F1 sees "no pressing need" to add 11th team as Andretti bids to join grid 1 year ago
Didn’t Renault want to set up a brand new satellite team? Perhaps these bids are further in the works then we know. I wouldn’t be surprised if we’d see a Renault team that uses the Alpine chassis of the prior year.

Woah, the Gerrand Piri weekend is already deemed a success before it even started! Can’t wait for the DRS overtakes on the long straights, those are the best.

Oxnard commented on the post, Verstappen becomes 14th driver in F1 history to score more than one 'grand slam' 1 year, 1 month ago
It is just a nonsense stat though. These days we have less teams and welfare points. If we’d have had top 10 points in 1999, I believe all 11 teams would have scored points after the 3rd race, with only Sauber n […]

Oxnard commented on the post, 2022 Australian Grand Prix championship points 1 year, 1 month ago
A big shame for the championship Max lost 36 points purely on reliability. It’s not ever yet, but 71-61 would have looked a lot better than 71-25.

Oxnard commented on the post, 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix driver ratings 1 year, 2 months ago
One of the best battles in F1 in the last decade; a 7 and a 7. And Perez, an 8, because.. he failed to fix his misfortune..? He should have been all over Sainz, as Max showed was very much possible, yet he didn’t […]

Oxnard commented on the post, F1 tweaks Safety Car un-lapping procedure following Abu Dhabi controversy 1 year, 3 months ago
This change was needed. We had many unnecessary long SC periods the last few years, and the old rule just added up to that. Many times they even waited until the entire field closed to the main pack. The reason […]

Oxnard commented on the post, First pictures: New Mercedes W13 makes track debut at windy Silverstone 1 year, 3 months ago
It looks really vanilla. I’m also suprised they went for the narrow concept, as their PU is already not the most compact packaged one. But then again, Williams and McLaren seem to have a similar concept.

Oxnard commented on the post, Perez knew "very early on" Red Bull would retain him for 2022 1 year, 5 months ago
I believe the idea was to extend Checo’s contract early in the season in the hope it would play a positive role in the confidence Perez got from that, and thus performing better without the stress of maybe l […]

Oxnard commented on the post, Why Mercedes believe they would have won an appeal but still lost the title 1 year, 5 months ago
I don’t get why Toto keeps repeating how it was unfair Lewis was a sitting duck. That was not unfair, that was unlucky. If we had a less chaotic race control we’d have a finish within normal procedure, as it wou […]
