We’re increasingly going to see races where tickets purchased model is not going to be a main revenue source or the event. Domenicali is building a house of cards here.

@jerejj Well he got away with Monaco, probably thinks he did the right thing even now. Also, Leclerc isn’t the kind of guy to rail his online buddy for this.

Vandoorne :'( As someone who spent years talking him up prior to his F1 debut, I couldn’t believe my eyes seeing how badly he did at McLaren.

@sjaakfoo :D I find it hard to grasp the logic behind keeping this ranking system going.

@jerejj He aborted it. No clear reason stated, maybe he though he wouldn’t be beat by anyone bar Leclerc. Astons were bleeding a lot of time in the last sector for some reason.

@tsgoodchild It’s not a corporate statement, it’s making himself look better. Megalomaniacs are like that.

From 2014 to 2016, Mercedes won all but 8 races, out of 59. Only one of those was down purely to pace (Singapore 2015). The rest were due to collisions between teammates (Belgium 2014, Spain 2016), reliability […]

None of that. We just need decimal places and a better understanding of ordinality.

Ohh look, our ranking system that’s just six grades is back. Basically, A = 8 B = 7 C = 6 D = 5 E = 4 F = 3

I did forget 2003, yes. But 1990 the season was over at Suzuka, not Adelaide. Senna made sure of that.

2021 is a relative outlier in F1 terms. From 1987 to 2005 (19 years), only 4 years had a season finale where drivers from different teams with a shot at the title (1994, 1997, 1998, 1999). The 2006-2012 period was […]

@afonic Thing is, Red Bull don’t run a sloppy shop. Mercedes were operationally average to good which allowed others to win races. Red Bull with a similar advantage will probably win all the races, because they’re […]
