mrfill commented on the post, Caldwell banned from next F2 round after another track limits penalty 4 months ago
Bahrain race 2 must have been a bit of a disappointment with a 5 second penalty, a 10 second penalty, a drive through penalty and a 10 second stop/go penalty. And 7 penalty points.
So much for learning from ones mistakes….

‘Stroll said he has “known and admired Fernando for many years and it has always been clear that he is a committed winner like me.” ‘
He hasn’t won an F1 race for nearly 10 years…. That’s not very committed.
I guess it might have been a different story if Horner’s personal lawyer and advisor had got a job at the FIA…

He brought too much controversy into the sport – unlike now with the new regime where there has not been a whiff of controversy or doubt in any of the decisions. Plus ca change…

If we shouldn’t boo because “They’re just doing their job, doing their best to have a career. And I think that’s what a lot of people don’t really appreciate in this position.”, then we shouldn’t cheer eithe […]
I guess you mean his son. Not seen him on a grid for a while either. Perhaps he’ll show up at Singapore and do conducted tours..
Indeed. This is the man who called Mansell “an uneducated blockhead”, called Enzo Ferrari “senile” and Ayrton Senna “gay”. Also the man who defended his son who had deliberately crashed his car to benefit Alonso. […]

He may be stymied when any prospective team ask the question ‘How much sponsorship can you bring?’. Within RBR that is not necessarily required (although having a connection like Carlos Slim may oil the wheels). […]

mrfill commented on the post, Are F1 drivers thinking only of themselves by opposing a salary cap? 5 months, 2 weeks ago
A couple of ideas to burn off some of that profit.
1 – reduce the price of tickets
2 – Make all races free to air
after all, its bums on seats and eyes on boxes that have got then there in the first place.

mrfill commented on the post, Why F1's sprint race pole position fix is merely cosmetic 7 months, 2 weeks ago
I think its a bit odd that the ‘pole position’ could start last in the race, finish last and still go away with an effective 6th place (8 pts).
Shows that even the finest driver on the grid and next world champion (©L Stroll) can make a mistake. Often.
