Carl Parker commented on the post, How to lose a season in 10 races: Ferrari's staggering reversal in fortunes 4 days, 4 hours ago
It’s a bit harsh to lump this all on Ferrari, when they only looked so good at the beginning because RBR had a difficult start with reliability. I’m not saying they haven’t lost a lot of points based on […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Piastri makes shock announcement he will not debut in F1 with Alpine next year 4 days, 8 hours ago
I think Zak has realised that Lando and Daniel have driving styles that are too different to allow the car development to be clear and optimised. Daniel seems to need the car behaving in a specific way to be […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Alonso "a little bit surprised" to beat McLarens after qualifying deficit 1 week, 6 days ago
CotD missing (as did many) that Perez moved across under braking, which caused Russell to have to take evasive action, meaning he couldn’t stop as quickly as he otherwise would. Therefore, Perez contributed to […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Russell insists the "letter of the law" showed Perez should have given up third place 1 week, 6 days ago
Everyone saying this was Russell whining and wrong should check Perez braking line into that corner during that lap vs other laps and understand that when the defending car moves/comes across under braking it […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Russell insists the "letter of the law" showed Perez should have given up third place 1 week, 6 days ago
Perez was the one that caused the issue by moving under braking, not Russell forcing him off. Perez did well to play the victim.
Carl Parker commented on the post, Russell insists the "letter of the law" showed Perez should have given up third place 1 week, 6 days ago
Russell did make the corner, and he’d have made it with more room still if Perez hadn’t moved across under braking. It’s a matter of opinion by how much, but it’s factual that Russell made the corner, suggesting […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Russell insists the "letter of the law" showed Perez should have given up third place 2 weeks ago
I should clarify, I’m only stating my opinion – it’s not a very clear cut scenario imo.
Carl Parker commented on the post, Russell insists the "letter of the law" showed Perez should have given up third place 2 weeks ago
My argument with Russel pushing Perez off, is that Perez caused that by squeezing him so much on the way in. If Perez wasn’t there at all and Russel broke where he did, I don’t think he’d have gone to the limit […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Russell insists the "letter of the law" showed Perez should have given up third place 2 weeks ago
People need to stop coming across under braking, Perez did it here and got away with it, but the rules are pretty clear that you shouldn’t do it. You need to brake in a straight line and leave a consistent gap […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Another fan's experience of harassment last weekend – and why F1 must act 3 weeks, 4 days ago
Too right, 100% agree.
You are the person you are – if you act a specific way when intoxicated or high, that’s still YOU. If those thoughts are so close to the surface that they come out with a bit of drink, […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Former F1 race director Masi officially leaves FIA 3 weeks, 5 days ago
Yes he entirely proves my point on the radio. He knew they were in a catch 22 scenario – pit and they’d end up second, not pit and max would get a free stop in case somehow the incident got cleared and they could […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Former F1 race director Masi officially leaves FIA 3 weeks, 6 days ago
They made no mistake – if they’d have pitted him they’d have come out behind Max because he’d have done the opposite of Lewis, and Red Bull like everyone else initially assumed that the race would finish under the […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, McLaren SP's Mid-Ohio was grim but it paled next to Andretti's horror show 1 month ago
Yeah – you just have to ignore the fact that he caused the contact that knocked the wheel out of his hands. It was poor racing, it would’ve been more intelligent to let him through and hope to be pulled along […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Leclerc strategy was "common sense" like Hamilton's in Abu Dhabi – Binotto 1 month ago
No, that’s very odd – I can’t remember the last time I posted on the BBC. Certainly not this year!
It just seemed unnecessary at the chicane, like he rolled of the brakes and dived across trying to scare […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Leclerc strategy was "common sense" like Hamilton's in Abu Dhabi – Binotto 1 month ago
It’s just Horner rabbiting on trying to negative the other teams. Even when Sainz got pole he was talking about him as an ex- red bull junior rather than a Ferrari driver – any little thing to make RBR look good […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Leclerc strategy was "common sense" like Hamilton's in Abu Dhabi – Binotto 1 month ago
I’m still scratching my head trying to work out how Perez avoided a penalty for cutting the chicane to force Leclerc wide in the run-up to Hamilton passing, as well as running Leclerc off track in the previous […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, F1 sees "no pressing need" to add 11th team as Andretti bids to join grid 2 months, 4 weeks ago
I hate seeing this kind of attitude from the sport – new teams should be encouraged and LM are trying to create something that will be the downfall of the sport. Another financial crisis and this bubble will […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, Horner criticises "harsh" decision to replace Masi as F1 race director 5 months, 2 weeks ago
The cheek of RBR through this really riles me, more than Masi’s actions in some ways. If the boot was on the other foot they’d be just as angry as Merc, if not more so. Why they can’t just admit they were lucky […]
Carl Parker commented on the post, FIA's sweeping changes vindicate Mercedes' belief Hamilton was "robbed" of title 5 months, 3 weeks ago
Removing the teams communication to the race director is very important so I’m glad they’ve done that. If they punish teams for how they talk to race control that’d be nice as well, as some of last years was […]
